Who will take home the major individual awards this MLB season?

It probably won't come as a surprise that, since the spring, last year's unanimous AL and NL MVPs have been the favorites to win the hardware again in 2025.

Yes, the New York Yankees' Aaron Judge, who led the majors in both home runs and RBI, and the Los Angeles Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani, coming off MLB's first 50/50 season, both opened the season as the prohibitive favorites.

Judge lost the top spot briefly during his mid-season IL stint, and has since gone back and forth with Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners atop the AL MVP odds. Currently, the pendulum has swung back in Judge's favor. Ohtani still sits in the NL's crow's nest, well ahead of Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Pittsburgh Pirates' Paul Skenes once again possesses the favorite's spot for the NL Cy Young, ahead of Philadelphia's Cristopher Sanchez. Meanwhile, Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers, who got all 30 first-place votes last season to capture the AL award, is still the favorite to repeat, although Garrett Crochet of the Boston Red Sox could still see a September surge.

In the race for the Rookie of the Year awards, Nick Kurtz of the Athletics has become the runaway candidate to win those honors, especially after his historic July outing at the plate. In the NL, it's currently a two-headed race between Cade Horton of the Chicago Cubs and Drake Baldwin of the Atlanta Braves, with Horton slightly in the lead as we enter the final two weeks of the season.
