The Los Angeles Dodgers opened the 2024 season as favorites to win the World Series and, after defeating the New York Yankees in five games, they indeed celebrated a championship.

According to ESPN BET, the Dodgers remain the favorite to win the World Series again in 2025. After opening as +400 favorites to repeat, they currently sit at +240 following what was an extremely active trade deadline across the league.

Following a flurry of moves, the San Diego Padres are one of the biggest risers, seeing their World Series odds jump from 30-1 to 15-1. The Seattle Mariners added Eugenio Suarez and moved from 20-1 to 14-1, while the Boston Red Sox (35-1 to 30-1) also saw a boost.

The San Francisco Giants are the big fallers among teams who previously had better than 100-1 odds, dropping all the way from 40-1 to 100-1. The Minnesota Twins went from 100-1 to 250-1.

The top eight teams remained unchanged, and the Detroit Tigers continue to be the favorite among AL teams to win the World series at +900. The Philadelphia Phillies also check in at +800, with a quartet of teams (Yankees and New York Mets) sitting at 10-1 odds.
