The Los Angeles Dodgers opened the 2024 season as favorites to win the World Series and, after defeating the New York Yankees in five games, they indeed celebrated a championship.

According to ESPN BET, the Dodgers remained the favorite to win the World Series again in 2025 throughout the entire season... until this week.

After opening as +400 favorites to repeat, the Dodgers currently sit at +550 as we move into the final three two-plus weeks of the regular season. That puts them behind the Philadelphia Phillies (+450), who took two out of three in an early-week series between the teams in Los Angeles.

The Toronto Blue Jays, who have somehow managed to hold on to the AL East lead, sit at +700 to win the World Series, tied with the Milwaukee Brewers, who currently have the best record in MLB.
