Cliff Avril, DE, first Pro Bowl selection: The nine-year veteran was probably the Seahawks' most deserving nominee. He has 11.5 sacks (tied for third in the NFL) and 25 QB hits (second) on the season. Avril has vowed to build a house in Haiti for every sack he gets this year, and he's the Seahawks' nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
Michael Bennett, DE, second Pro Bowl selection: He missed six games because of a knee injury, but when Bennett is on the field, he has been one of the most disruptive defensive lineman in the NFL. On the season, he has three sacks, 13 QB hits and nine tackles for loss. After failing to get recognized during his first six years in the league, Bennett is in the Pro Bowl for the second straight year.
Richard Sherman, CB, fourth Pro Bowl selection: He continues to make quarterbacks pay when they throw in his direction. Sherman has four interceptions and 11 passes defended. He has never missed a game in his NFL career, and over the past two years, Sherman has spent more time traveling with opposing No. 1 receivers.
Bobby Wagner, LB, third Pro Bowl selection: He has been the Seahawks' most consistent defensive player this year. Wagner leads the NFL with 145 tackles and is a true three-down linebacker. He also has been used more as a blitzer this season with 2.5 sacks and 16 QB hits.
SNUBS
K.J. Wright, LB: Wright's teammates have been saying for weeks that he deserved to make his first Pro Bowl. He has 113 tackles, three sacks, four passes defended and a forced fumble. Like Wagner, Wright never comes off the field and he has played at a consistently high level all season long.
Justin Britt, C: Because of all the criticism aimed at the Seahawks' offensive line, Britt probably didn't get much consideration, but he has had an excellent season. He was drafted in 2014 to play right tackle and struggled last season at left guard. But this year, his first playing center, Britt has played really well. He has been the Seahawks' best offensive lineman.
