Free-agent running back Lance Dunbar is visiting with the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan.

Dunbar (5-foot-8, 195 pounds) spent the first four years of his career with the Dallas Cowboys. In 2015, he had five carries for 67 yards and 21 catches for 215 yards in four games before suffering a season-ending torn ACL injury.

The 26-year-old Dunbar has 85 career attempts for 391 yards (4.6 YPC). He's done well as a receiver 52 catches for 524 yards (10.1 yards per reception). Dunbar also has experience returning kicks. He played his college ball at North Texas and went undrafted in 2012.

If the Seahawks are confident that Dunbar is on his way to full health, he would make sense. The team only has two running backs under contract: Thomas Rawls and Cameron Marshall. Rawls is coming off of an ankle injury, but is expected to be the lead back. Marshall will be fighting for a roster spot.

Dunbar could be the Seahawks' third-down back and also rotate in to spell Rawls on early downs.

According to Caplan, the San Francisco 49ers have also shown interest in Dunbar.
