Top 2013 performances: Paul Richardson

We're looking at some of the top individual performances in the Pac-12 in 2013.

Up next: Tackle Richardson or lose trying.

Who and against whom: WR Paul Richardson got Colorado's season off to an ideal start in a 41-27 win against Colorado State.

The numbers: Richardson had 10 catches for 208 yards and bookended the scoring with touchdown receptions of 82 and 75 yards.

A closer look: After sitting out the 2012 season while rehabbing a torn ACL, Richardson was a bit of an unknown headed into 2013. It took less than three minutes for outsiders to learn what teammates and coaches knew in training camps: He was back. On Colorado's first drive -- and second offensive play -- of the season, Richardson caught an 82-yard touchdown pass from Connor Wood. The game was back-and-forth from there until he put it away with a 75-yard reception on the first play of a Colorado drive immediately following a Colorado State field goal that cut its deficit to 33-27. It was the first big game of a season full of them for Richardson and not a bad way to start the Mike MacIntyre era.
