Under Armour All-American cornerback Olaijah Griffin has decided to stay home and sign with USC:
What he brings: Griffin, out of Mission Viejo, California, brings size, quickness and an aggressive mentality at the corner position. Possesses fluid hips and transition skills and great hands and body control to defend the jump ball in deep coverage. Blessed with great athleticism and has the intangibles as well.
How he fits: USC is landing a corner with size and speed who should help increase the overall athleticism in the secondary upon arrival. He fills a need for the Trojans and has the instincts and awareness at the position to make a smooth transition.
Who he reminds us of: Greg Stroman, Virginia Tech. Very similar in their slender builds, smooth transitional movements and great awareness when it comes to reading the quarterback.
