2025 college football recruiting class rankings: Top 50 schools

Petre Thomas-USA TODAY Sports

The rapidly approaching early signing period has the recruiting world spinning a little faster. Less than two dozen ESPN 300 prospects remain uncommitted, though flips and decommitments are the catalyst for much of the movement now.

Some departures pushed Alabama out of the top spot, with the Crimson Tide slipping behind Ohio State and Georgia. The Tide still remain in contention for the No. 1 class as they were also able to add one of the top-rated defensive back prospects in Ivan Taylor. A flip from Michigan, he is a versatile back-end defender with good quickness, body control and awareness.

Georgia's class has undergone some change as well, but several pickups were enough to push the Dawgs past their rival. A key addition was ESPN 300 WR C.J. Wiley, an in-state prospect who was initially committed to Florida State.

Lane Kiffin has used the transfer portal well to help build Ole Miss into a playoff contender, but he also continues to use high school recruiting to reload his roster. The Rebels are a big riser after landing multiple commitments, including the No. 1 ranked player in-state: receiver Caleb Cunningham, a flip from Alabama with good speed and tremendous ball skills.

Deion Sanders and Colorado pulled a late coup, snaring five-star quarterback Julian Lewis in a flip from USC, while Kalani Sitake and BYU also have surged as they jump into the top 50 with several key offensive line pickups.

Here are the latest rankings of the top 50 recruiting classes for 2025:

New entries: BYU, Indiana, Wake Forest, Colorado

Out: UCF, Arizona, Texas Tech, Virginia
