Top 2013 performances: Bralon Addison

We're looking at some of the top individual performances in the Pac-12 in 2013.

Up next: Saved it for a rainy day.

Who and against whom: Oregon WR/PR Bralon Addison literally left a wake in monsoon-like conditions as the No. 2 Ducks blasted California at home, 55-16.

The numbers: As a wide receiver, Addison’s numbers weren’t all that impressive. Driving rain usually doesn’t lend itself to outstanding passing and receiving performances, so Addison had just three catches for 13 yards. But his biggest contribution was on special teams, where he returned two punts for touchdowns -- a 75-yard return and a 67-yarder.

A closer look: Not that his two scores were needed, but, hey, they were pretty darn impressive. The Ducks were already ahead 34-0 by the time he took the 75-yard kick back in the second quarter. That one was just pure sideline speed. His second return -- a 67-yard run early in the third quarter -- was a thing of beauty. First, he stayed on his feet after running into his own man. Then he dodged, ducked, dipped, dived and dodged (OK, he didn’t have to dive) before nonchalantly walking into the end zone. Addison became just the second Duck in school history to return two punts for touchdowns in the same game (Cliff Harris, 2010 vs. New Mexico). In total, he finished with 166 all-purpose yards, including 142 return yards.
