DraftWatch: McCoy's bench press

As we continue to evaluate which elite defensive tackle Detroit would be better off drafting next month, we should at least consider this eye-opening result from Monday's workout at the scouting combine.

Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy managed 23 repetitions in the bench press, a good result if he were a running back. As an interior linemen, it's on the low end and provides at least a hint that he needs to work on upper-body strength.

In this Insider-only post, ESPN's Todd McShay terms the figure "a little disappointing." McShay, however, did write that McCoy showed "outstanding quickness" in both his feet and hands during position-specific drills.

Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, on the other hand, put up 32 reps.
