Revis takes bait and Sherman cranks reel

Richard Sherman baited opposing quarterbacks into interceptions last season. He has baited opposing receivers such as Steve Smith into lashing out during games.

Now, the Seattle Seahawks' All-Pro cornerback is proving he can bait opposing defensive backs as well.

"He didn't play this year, so when he does, then he will be in it," Sherman tweeted Wednesday, explaining why he'd left out the New York Jets' Darrelle Revis from a ranking of top cornerbacks.

That was enough to get Revis' going. It was on from there:

Sherman was arguably the best cornerback in the NFL last season. He's also becoming its most notable talker of trash and rattler of cages. To my knowledge, Sherman's short list has included putting Michael Floyd on notice, calling out Tom Brady, warning Peyton Manning, disparaging A.J. Green and downplaying Roddy White.

We can add to the list this spat with Revis. There will be others in the future, for sure.
