Dolphins trade CB Jamar Taylor to the Browns

DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins traded former second-round pick Jamar Taylor to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for swapping seventh-round picks Saturday.

Taylor battled through injuries and inconsistency in Miami during his three seasons. He started just nine games in three seasons and finished with 82 tackles and zero interceptions.

The Dolphins deemed Taylor expendable after drafting two cornerbacks this weekend. They selected former Baylor cornerback Xavien Howard in the second round and former Penn State cornerback Jordan Lucas in the sixth round.

Miami has three players remaining from its 2013 class on the active roster: guard Dallas Thomas, linebacker Jelani Jenkins and tight end Dion Sims.
