JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny did not practice on Wednesday and won’t practice on Thursday as he recovers from a concussion, leaving his status for Sunday’s game against Arizona in doubt.

Posluszny, who suffered the concussion in the fourth quarter of the Jaguars’ 29-27 victory over Tennessee last Sunday, worked on the side at the Jaguars’ practice fields.

"He’s getting better every day and making good progress," coach Gus Bradley said. "We’ll wait and see what happens with that. He probably won’t go tomorrow even if it was better. It’s just the way it (the concussion protocol) takes place."

Posluszny is the team’s leading tackler (88) and also has eight pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

He was one of six players who did not practice Wednesday. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew sat out to rest a minor chronic knee issue but Bradley said Jones-Drew will play Sunday. Receiver Stephen Burton (concussion), defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks (ankle), center Brad Meester (veteran day off), and defensive end Jason Babin (veteran day off) also did not practice.

Defensive end Tyson Alualu (elbow), defensive end Andre Branch (neck), receiver Mike Brown (ankle), defensive tackle Roy Miller (shoulder), tight end Danny Noble (hamstring), guard Will Rackley (head), receiver Cecil Shorts (groin) and receiver Stephen Williams (Achilles) were limited.
