Where's Mike McCarthy's face time?

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- If you thought you haven't see much of Mike McCarthy when you watch Green Bay Packers' games on television, it turns out you're right.

A Wall Street Journal reporter watched two full games for all 32 teams from this season and counted the number of times each head coach was shown on the broadcast.

And McCarthy was barely noticeable.

The findings showed that McCarthy flashed on the screen less than any of the other 31 head coaches, an average of 13.5 times per game. Compare that with San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, who received the most face time (an average of 45.5 times per game).

Geoff Foster, of the Wall Street Journal, wrote: "You can't really fault the TV producers in this case. During any 49ers game, the expressions and reactions of the demonstrative Harbaugh are often more entertaining than the actual football.

"Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers could fly out of Lambeau Field on a unicorn and McCarthy's facial expression might not change."

The WSJ also counted how often each quarterback was shown when he wasn't on the field. Rodgers came in seventh, having been shown an average of 17.5 times. Peyton Manning (31 times) and Tom Brady (29.5 times) topped the quarterback list.
