BEREA, Ohio -- New Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski is almost done filling out his staff. Here's a look at where things stand:

Offense

Coordinator

Who's in: Alex Van Pelt

Who's out: Todd Monken

Stefanski hasn't decided, or at least hasn't revealed, whether he'll call plays next season or leave it to Van Pelt. Van Pelt's only experience calling plays came in 2009, when he was promoted to interim offensive coordinator with the Buffalo Bills. Monken, who himself didn't call plays for the Browns last year under Freddie Kitchens, is now the offensive coordinator at Georgia.

Quarterbacks

Who's in: T.C. McCartney

Who's out: Ryan Lindley

The grandson of former Colorado University national championship coach Bill McCartney joins the staff after serving as the QB coach in Denver last year. McCartney's title is offensive assistant, though he figures to be part of the QB room in some capacity.

Running backs

Who's in: Stump Mitchell

Mitchell was the only offensive assistant Stefanski retained off Kitchens' staff. Under Mitchell, Nick Chubb made his first Pro Bowl and finished second in the league in rushing.

Offensive line

Who's in: Bill Callahan, Scott Peters

Who's out: James Campen, Jeff Blasko

Stefanski's most high-profile hire comes up front in Callahan, who was the Washington Redskins' interim head coach last season. Callahan also was the head coach with the Oakland Raiders (2002-03) and Nebraska (2004-07). Peters, a former NFL offensive lineman, is a jujitsu world champion. Campen is now with the Chargers and Blasko joined the Cowboys.

Receivers

Who's in: Chad O'Shea

Who's out: Adam Henry

O'Shea and Stefanski actually arrived together in Minnesota in 2006 as assistants under Brad Childress. O'Shea then left for the New England Patriots, where he coached the likes of Wes Welker, Randy Moss and Julian Edelman.

Tight ends

Who's in: Drew Petzing

Who's out: John Lilly

Petzing comes over from Minnesota, where he has coached alongside Stefanski since 2014. Before that, Petzing was a football operations intern for the Browns. Lilly is now the tight ends coach at North Carolina.

Defense

Coordinator

Who's in: Joe Woods

Who's out: Steve Wilks

With Woods coaching DBs, the San Francisco 49ers led the league last year in fewest passing yards per attempt (5.92). Woods and Stefanski were in Minnesota together from 2006 to 2013. Before joining the 49ers, Woods was the defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos in 2017-18. Even though he has experience in the 3-4 defense, Woods has said that he'll be operating the 4-3 in Cleveland to account for the Browns' personnel.

Defensive line

Who's in: Chris Kiffin

Who's out: Tosh Lupoi, John Parrella

The brother of Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin and son of longtime NFL defensive coach Monte Kiffin, Chris Kiffin arrives with Woods after serving as the 49ers' pass-rush specialist last season. Before that, Kiffin was the co-defensive coordinator at Florida Atlantic under his brother in 2017.

Linebackers

Who's in: Jason Tarver

Who's out: Al Holcomb

Tarver was fired as Vanderbilt's defensive coordinator in December after the Commodores went 3-9. Tarver was actually the defensive coordinator in Oakland when Woods was the DB coach there in 2014. Holcomb is now an assistant with the Carolina Panthers under Matt Rhule.

Defensive backs

Who's in: Jeff Howard

Who's out: Joe Whitt Jr., DeWayne Walker

Howard too comes to Cleveland with Stefanski from Minnesota, where he held various roles from 2014 to '19.

Special teams

Who's in: Mike Priefer, Doug Colman

Priefer actually coached in Minnesota alongside Stefanski before joining the Browns staff last year. Kicker Austin Seibert and punter Jamie Gillan both had solid seasons as rookies under Priefer in 2019, another impetus for Stefanski to keep him on staff.
