Joe Thomas returns to Pro Bowl for 10th time in 10 seasons

SELECTIONS

Joe Thomas, offensive tackle, 10th Pro Bowl selection: Thomas set a Cleveland Browns record with this selection. No player in the team's long history has been named to 10 Pro Bowls; Hall of Famers Jim Brown and Lou Groza each went to nine. Thomas also becomes the fifth player in NFL history to be named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first 10 seasons in the league. He joins Rams defensive tackle Merlin Olsen (14), Cowboys safety Mel Renfro (10), Lions running back Barry Sanders (10) and Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor (10). Thomas has been his usual professional and dependable self while also serving as a team captain. Thomas has not missed a game or a snap since he was the third overall pick in the 2007 draft, a streak of 9,791 snaps in a row.

SNUBS

A winless team does not deserve award recognition. Aside from Thomas, there really is nobody on the Browns who was deserving. In this instance, for this team, the league got it right.
