Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White snubbed for first Pro Bowl

The Buffalo Bills had three players named to the Pro Bowl. Here's a look at who was selected and who wasn't selected:

SELECTIONS

LeSean McCoy, RB, sixth Pro Bowl selection: Now elected to his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl, McCoy started off up and down this season but leads the NFL in rushing yards (462) since Week 11. His 1,057 yards are fifth-most this season. He will be a reserve behind Pittsburgh's Le'Veon Bell.

Micah Hyde, S, first Pro Bowl selection: Hyde, 26, led Pro Bowl fan voting among AFC strong safeties, and for good reason: He has five interceptions this season, tied for fifth in the NFL and third-most among safeties. Pro Football Focus ranks Hyde the ninth-best safety in the NFL. He will be a reserve in the Pro Bowl behind Miami's Reshad Jones.

Richie Incognito, G, fourth Pro Bowl selection: Incognito, 34, has made the Pro Bowl each season since being signed by Buffalo in 2015. His Pro Football Focus grade has ticked slightly down this season, but he is still the 12th-ranked guard in the NFL. He will be a reserve behind Oakland's Kelechi Osemele and Pittsburgh's David DeCastro.

SNUBS

Tre'Davious White, CB: A strong candidate to earn NFL defensive rookie of the year honors, White is Pro Football Focus' third-ranked cornerback in the NFL. His four interceptions are tied for fourth in the NFL among cornerbacks, and his 11 pass breakups (as tracked by ESPN Stats & Information) are tied for eighth among cornerbacks. White was not announced by the Bills as an alternate to the Pro Bowl, which is surprising. Aqib Talib, who was among the AFC's selections to the Pro Bowl, ranks 18th among NFL cornerbacks by Pro Football Focus.

ALTERNATES

Eric Wood, C, first alternate: If Wood, 31, is tapped to replace Pittsburgh's Maurkice Pouncey or Oakland's Rodney Hudson, it would be Wood's second career Pro Bowl.

Kyle Williams, DT, second alternate: If Williams, 34, is eventually selected to the Pro Bowl, it would be the sixth and perhaps final of his 12-year career. His play has ticked down this season; he is tied for 57th among NFL interior defensive lineman, according to Pro Football Focus. He remains a strong presence in the locker room.

Mike Tolbert, FB, third alternate: Bills fans will raise an eyebrow at this one because Tolbert has generally been underwhelming in the No. 2 running back role this season and was a healthy scratch last Sunday against Miami. However, he made the Pro Bowl three of the past four seasons as a fullback, which aided his reputation to voters.

Charles Clay, TE, third alternate: Clay missed three games this season because of a torn meniscus in his knee. He is Pro Football Focus' 44th-ranked tight end and ranks 16th among NFL tight ends with 457 yards on 39 catches.
