FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Atlanta Falcons will hold their 15th training camp practice Wednesday morning at their home facility. This is the last training camp practice open to the public.
This is what Falcons coach Dan Quinn had to say following Tuesday's practice, "We had a real solid practice today. ... I thought we had to show some more grit. I think we did that today. After yesterday, there were a couple of balls on the ground, and just not the intensity that we were accustomed to, so I was glad to see us come back and battle for it."
Here is the Falcons' schedule for Wednesday (all times ET):
10 a.m.-noon: Practice
12:30-1 p.m.: Quinn news conference
Weather: high 82, low 71 (35 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms)
Players on active/physically unable to perform list: OT Lamar Holmes (broken right foot)
Notable news: Starting strong safety William Moore suffered a calf injury during Tuesday's practice, leaving his status in doubt for Friday's exhibition (7:30 p.m. ET) against the New York Jets. Starting defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman also got banged up with a face/neck injury, so his status is unclear, too. The Falcons already were without cornerback Desmond Trufant (shoulder) and running back Antone Smith (hamstring). Meanwhile, running backs Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman (hamstrings), along with outside linebacker Brooks Reed (groin), participated in 11-on-11 drills for the first time since suffering their respective injuries.
Day 14 standouts: WR Leonard Hankerson, RB Tevin Coleman, LB Allen Bradford
Next practice: Thursday, 11 a.m. (closed to the public)
