In an announcement today, Team Liquid unveiled its Dota 2 roster for the start of the 2017 competitive season. Former OG carry/mid laner Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi and former Liquid player Kanishka "Sam" "BuLba" Sosale rejoin the team, alongside returning members Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi, Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Borislavov and Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen.

Al-Barkawi will take over the mid lane, while Sosale will take up the support role for the first time in a year and a half.

"Team Liquid was, in a way, my home away from home. I am glad to be back on Liquid," Sosale said in a statement.

The players and manager Mohamed Morad also thanked Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka and Adrian "FATA-" Trinks for their time with the organization and wished them well on future ventures. Vainikka was recently announced to be a part of OG's new lineup, while Trinks is taking time away from Dota.

This new roster boasts both a powerful playmaker in mid and a fresh take from an old face in Sosale's support. It will be interesting to see how the new lineup gels as the unannounced first Major of the 2017 season approaches.
