Evil Geniuses is making radical changes to its lineup, announcing a new five-man roster: Andreas Franck "Cr1t-" Nielsen, Syed "Suma1l" Hassan, Saahil "UNiVeRsE" Arora, Ludwig "zai" Wahlberg and Artour "Arteezy" Babaev. The addition of former OG support Nielsen, as well as the third re-signing of Babaev, could lead to a drastically different look for the team in 2017.

Peter "PPD" Dager will be stepping down as both player and captain for the squad. Nielsen will not only be competing with EG for the first time, but taking up the mantle of leadership in Dager's place. A statement from EG detailed Dager's decision:

"After being presented with the decision of either pursuing a long-term career in esports or continuing on as an active pro player, one with an unforeseeable duration, he ultimately decided it best to transition into the business management role offered to him by Twitch."

Dager is the second EG player to move into the non-competitive side of esports after Clinton "Fear" Loomis' retirement announcement Wednesday.
