A team-by-team look at the 2016 recruiting classes in the Pac-12:

GradeUSC Trojans

National rank: 11

The Trojans' class came together solidly under new coach Clay Helton. USC made a national statement with the flip of ESPN 300 safety Jamel Cook on signing day from Florida State and was also able to land ESPN 300 OT E.J. Price and highly rated corner Jackie Jones. Offensive talents in the fold are ESPN 300 quarterback Matt Fink, receivers Tyler Vaughns and Josh Imatorbhebhe, tight end Cary Angeline and tackle Frank Martin II. Two more four-star wideouts, Michael Pittman and Velus Jones, give the Trojans more offensive firepower. ESPN 300 athlete Trevon Sidney is one of the more versatile prospects in the country, and Keyshawn Young could develop into a nice weapon. Defensively, ESPN 300 end Oluwole Betiku could be a star.

GradeStanford Cardinal

National rank: 13

The Cardinal continue to quietly be a top national recruiting program by hauling in prospects from multiple states, headlined by the nation's No. 2-ranked tight end, Kaden Smith. No. 2-ranked pocket passer K.J. Costello was a huge win for David Shaw and staff after not signing a QB in 2015. ESPN 300 prospect Clark Yarbrough is another athletic offensive tackle headed to Palo Alto. Cornerback is key for Stanford in 2016, and ESPN 300 recruit Treyjohn Butler and four-star Obi Eboh help meet the need. ESPN 300 defensive tackle Mike Williams was a big win in Texas over the Lone Star State powers. ESPN 300 outside linebacker Curtis Robinson was a key win in-state.

GradeUCLA Bruins

National rank: 15

ESPN 300 safety Brandon Burton officially kicked off signing day by donning a Bruins hat on SportsCenter at midnight ET. OLB Mique Juarez (No. 30 in ESPN 300) followed later on in the big day. Aside from Burton and Juarez, the Bruins have hauled in a very good defensive class, led by ESPN 300 Lokeni Toailoa. The 2016 Under Armour All-America inside linebacker is joined by fellow ESPN 300 linebacker Krystopher Barnes, athletic ESPN 300 defensive end Breland Brandt and an upside defensive end with a familiar last name, Osa Odighizuwa. On offense, ESPN 300 Damian Alloway and four-star playmaker Demetric Felton will be weapons for Jim Mora and staff. Sleeper quarterback Matt Lynch has plenty of upside, as does four-star Devon Modster. ESPN 300 receiver Theo Howard and four-star Darian Owens will provide Josh Rosen with a pair of talented future targets. Four-star offensive guard Michael Alves had the look of a multiyear starter at the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl.

GradeArizona State Sun Devils

National rank: 25

Todd Graham has the Sun Devils ascending on the trail with back-to-back top 25-caliber classes. This year is more of the same. The team took a successful national approach that won ASU four-stars from five different states, led by ESPN 300 signal-caller Dillon Sterling-Cole and the nation's No. 2 center Cohl Cabral, but it's ESPN 300 receiver N'keal Harry that is the big win because he hails from inside the state. Tight end Jared Bubak was a big land out of Nebraska at a need position. Junior colleges continue to be important for Arizona State, with defensive ends Christian Hill and Dougladson Subtyl on board, along with talented corner J'Marcus Rhodes.

GradeWashington Huskies

National rank: 29

The Huskies' class is headlined by ESPN 300 cornerback Byron Murphy and athlete Isaiah Gilchrist. The duo is joined in the class by four-star, in-state prospects Brandon Wellington and Taylor Rapp. California is an absolute must for the Huskies, and four-star offensive tackle Luke Wattenberg was a key win, as were cornerback Kentrell Love and linebacker Camilo Eifler in July. Three-star receiver Aaron Fuller and defensive end Levi Onwuzurike were key wins out of the Lone Star State.

GradeOregon Ducks

National rank: 32

The Ducks had to hit on a quarterback in the 2016 class, and there are three quality prospects at the position, including ESPN 300 recruits Terry Wilson and Tristen Wallace. Four-star defenders Darrian Franklin and Bryson Young will bring more speed and playmaking, as will three-star linebacker LaMar Winston Jr. Junior college inside linebacker A.J. Hotchkins is already enrolled and a good bet to play soon in Eugene. Three-star Jacob Capra is one to watch on the offensive line.

GradeUtah Utes

National rank: 38

The Utes attacked the state of Florida and the junior college ranks with success in 2016, along with neighboring California. Three-star quarterback and Florida Gatorade Player of the Year Tyler Huntley is in for spring, and is joined by Hallandale teammates Demari Simpkins and back Zack Moss, a former Miami verbal. The junior college group of prospects is led by ESPN JC 50s Garett Bolles and quarterback Troy Williams.

GradeCalifornia Golden Bears

National rank: 40

Cal had to have cornerbacks in the 2016 class and filled the need with four-star Nygel Edmonds, three-star Camryn Bynum and mid-year junior college transfer Marloshawn Franklin. ESPN 300 blur Melquise Stovall leads a talented group of skill players that includes four-star pass catcher Jordan Duncan and mid-term junior college transfer Jordan Veasy.

GradeOregon State Beavers

National rank: 45

Oregon State has a class large in numbers, with a nice mixture of high school and junior college prospects. The headliner is ESPN 300 safety Shurod Thompson, along with four-stars Christian Wallace and Isaac Garcia. Leading the influx of junior college prospects expected to make an instant impact is defensive end Phillip Napoleon. The Beavers made Florida a priority in the class as well, with senior riser defensive end Kenny Turnier and outside linebacker and early enrollee Shemar Smith out of Miami having the look of multiyear starters.

GradeArizona Wildcats

National rank: 47

Offensive line is a strength of this class for the Wildcats, led by ESPN 300 guard Michael Eletise and former ESPN 300 tackle Keenan Walker, along with two more tackle prospects. Four-star quarterback Khalil Tate and four-star running back Russell Halimon will bring playmaking skills to Tucson. Four-star inside linebacker Kahi Neves is a need-filler and should be an early producer.

GradeWashington State Cougars

National rank: 56

The Cougars use a lot of receivers in Mike Leach's offensive scheme, and the class of 2016 has a handful of them led by four-star and early enrollee Isaiah Johnson and Grant Porter out of California. Staying in the all-important state of California, three-star running back Romello Harris is a good bet to play early. Defensive line is a huge position of need, and Lyric Bartley has plenty of upside. Junior college transfer Garrett McBroom is already on campus. There are two quarterbacks in the class -- D'Jimon Jones and the versatile Justus Rogers.

GradeColorado Buffaloes

The Buffaloes' class is headlined by a pair of three-star junior college wide receivers in Juwann Winfree and Kabion Ento. Both are expected to play early and often. A third three-star receiver in the class is 6-foot-3 Johnny Huntley out of Florida. Three-star Sam Noyer might be the quarterback of the future. Three-star fullback Beau Bisharat will play from day one. Three-star outside linebacker Pookie Maka has the talent to be a multiyear starter.
