Round 5 of the AFL season gets underway Thursday night with Adelaide and Geelong kicking off Gather Round in South Australia. Then, on Friday night, Collingwood and Sydney do battle.

Adelaide vs. Geelong
Team news: Adelaide has named star Izak Rankine for Thursday night's clash, despite the game-changing midfielder-forward struggling with a calf knock during the week. Matt Crouch and Zac Taylor have also been named in place of omitted duo James Borlase and Lachie Murphy. For the Cats, Tom Stewart is a late out. Mark Blicavs returns, as does Mitch Knevitt, with Jack Henry (hamstring) and Ted Clohesy (omitted) both making way.

FRIDAY, APRIL 11
Collingwood vs. Sydney
Team news: Collingwood will be without a trio of stars from last week. Dan Houston was suspended for a bump on Lachie Fogarty, Jordan De Goey will miss with an ankle injury, and Lachie Schultz injured his hamstring at training on Sunday. Lachie Sullivan, Ed Allen, and Will Hoskin-Elliott come in. The Swans are unchanged.

North Melbourne vs. Gold Coast Suns
Team news: The Roos have made three changes, with Bailey Scott, Matt WHitlock, and Robert Hansen Jr going out for Finn O'Sullivan, Zane Duursma, and Zac Fisher. The Suns will miss Connor Budarick (ribs) but regain Nick Holman.
