Fantasy football flex and superflex rankings for Week 16

After 20 TD catches in his first three seasons, Diontae Johnson is still looking for his first of 2022, despite easily leading the team with 77 receptions. Eric Espada/Getty Images

Welcome to Week 16 of the NFL season and our weekly PPR fantasy football superflex rankings for 2022. We know many of you now compete in superflex formats that invite/covet second quarterbacks in starting lineups, so these rankings account for that. It might look odd to see the lowest-ranked fantasy passers ranked ahead of typical RB2 and WR2 options, but the potential scoring impact demands it. If your league is of the standard flex variety, just ignore the presence of quarterbacks. Regardless, good luck in Week 16 and beyond!

These rankings have been updated for news and to remove players from Thursday's Jaguars-Jets game.

1. Josh Allen, Bills (QB1): Weather will be a factor in Chicago -- and other places -- but no Allen investor should sit him.

2. Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs (QB2): Still awesome, and with touchdown runs in two of three games.

3. Tyreek Hill, Dolphins (WR1): More than 20 PPR points in three consecutive games.

4. Justin Jefferson, Vikings (WR2): Don't look for Vikings to fall way behind against Giants this week.

5. Justin Fields, Bears (QB3): Ran well against Eagles, but he really could use some receiving help.

6. Derrick Henry, Titans (RB1): Plays the Texans this week. Expect more than 200 rushing yards against a defense he loves to torch.

7. Christian McCaffrey, 49ers (RB2)

8. Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins (QB4): His 18 PPR points in Week 15 were his most since Week 10. Not great, but good enough, and he should throw on Pack.

9. Joe Burrow, Bengals (QB5)

10. Geno Smith, Seahawks (QB6): Still completed 70% of passes versus 49ers. Should be able to do that versus Chiefs, even in cold weather.

11. Justin Herbert, Chargers (QB7)

12. Stefon Diggs, Bills (WR3): Production down the past two games, but certainly that's not a harbinger. Bears give up yards.

13. Davante Adams, Raiders (WR4)

14. Ja'Marr Chase, Bengals (WR5): Has 28 targets the past two games. Patriots defend well, but still, expect big stats.

15. Josh Jacobs, Raiders (RB3): There are no bad games for him anymore. Should get plenty of touches against Steelers.

16. Dalvin Cook, Vikings (RB4)

17. Austin Ekeler, Chargers (RB5)

18. Saquon Barkley, Giants (RB6): Huge effort in win over Commanders. Still doesn't look 100% healthy, but he needs 20 touches.

19. James Conner, Cardinals (RB7): He has touchdowns in five consecutive games and can still win you a fantasy championship.

20. Travis Kelce, Chiefs (TE1)

21. Kirk Cousins, Vikings (QB8): Well, his Week 15 was certainly interesting. You can win a fantasy title with Cousins.

22. Daniel Jones, Giants (QB9): Aggressive ranking, but he runs, and Vikings tend to make games interesting.

23. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions (WR6)

24. DK Metcalf, Seahawks (WR7)

25. Tom Brady, Buccaneers (QB10): No reason to expect his odd season will change now, though matchup with Cardinals is a positive one.

26. Aaron Rodgers, Packers (QB11): While everyone speculates about next season, he's still starting now, and still productive.

27. A.J. Brown, Eagles (WR8): Feels like a mistake to try to bench him because Jalen Hurts may not play. Will get targets.

28. Keenan Allen, Chargers (WR9)

29. DeAndre Hopkins, Cardinals (WR10): Still getting double-digit targets, even with lesser quarterbacks playing.

30. Nick Chubb, Browns (RB8)

31. Alvin Kamara, Saints (RB9): Nice bounce-back game in Week 15, but now has to go outside in Cleveland warmth.

32. Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots (RB10): Had 21 touches in stunning Week 15 loss, but it still doesn't feel like enough.

33. Aaron Jones, Packers (RB11)

34. Joe Mixon, Bengals (RB12)

35. Gardner Minshew, Eagles (QB12): Likely steps in to start and we should remember, he's better than most backup QBs.

36. Deshaun Watson, Browns (QB13): Only 11.4 PPR points over three games, in case you think he should be ranked better than this.

37. Dak Prescott, Cowboys (QB14)

38. Jared Goff, Lions (QB15)

39. Derek Carr, Raiders (QB16): Multiple touchdown passes in six of seven games, and little reason to expect different this week.

40. Chris Godwin, Buccaneers (WR11)

41. CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys (WR12)

42. Jaylen Waddle, Dolphins (WR13): Still only six catches over past three games, but such a gamebreaker it's hard to bench him.

43. DeVonta Smith, Eagles (WR14): Eight or more targets in six consecutive games, and that should continue in Dallas.

44. Kenny Pickett, Steelers (QB17)

45. Brock Purdy, 49ers (QB18)

46. Russell Wilson, Broncos (QB19): Do we want to see him play again this season? Surely it's tough to rely on him now.

47. Andy Dalton, Saints (QB20)

48. Kenneth Walker III, Seahawks (RB13): He last rushed for 50 yards back in Week 9. Sometimes this happens with rookies.

49. David Montgomery, Bears (RB14)

50. Tony Pollard, Cowboys (RB15): Quiet in first Eagles meeting, but he's become a star since then.

51. JuJu Smith-Schuster, Chiefs (WR15)

52. Terry McLaurin, Commanders (WR16): Road game in San Francisco is a bit scary, but he's reliable.

53. Miles Sanders, Eagles (RB16): Have to assume Eagles get him more touches this week than they did in Chicago.

54. Jerick McKinnon, Chiefs (RB17): He's turned into an RB2 option for PPR formats, and little reason to expect it changes.

55. Tee Higgins, Bengals (WR17)

56. Mike Williams, Chargers (WR18)

57. Christian Watson, Packers (WR19): Touchdown streak ended Monday, and he remains a bit raw running his routes.

58. Michael Pittman Jr., Colts (WR20)

59. Diontae Johnson, Steelers (WR21)

60. Najee Harris, Steelers (RB18)

61. Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys (RB19)

62. J.K. Dobbins, Ravens (RB20): That's 245 rushing yards in the past two games, in case you're still worried.

63. D'Andre Swift, Lions (RB21): Still a bit touchdown-dependent, but he is now the Lions' RB of choice for fantasy.

64. Leonard Fournette, Buccaneers (RB22)

65. Isiah Pacheco, Chiefs (RB23)

66. Mike Evans, Buccaneers (WR22)

67. Amari Cooper, Browns (WR23): Weather, health and erratic QB play make him a bit risky, still.

68. Mark Andrews, Ravens (TE2)

69. Tyler Huntley, Ravens (QB21):

70. T.J. Hockenson, Vikings (TE3)

71. Nick Foles, Colts (QB22)

72. Sam Darnold, Panthers (QB23)

73. Mac Jones, Patriots (QB24)

74. Taylor Heinicke, Commanders (QB25)

75. Jerry Jeudy, Broncos (WR24): Have to wonder who he wants to play QB. It's a worthy discussion if value drops with Wilson in.

76. Marquise Brown, Cardinals (WR25)

77. Chris Olave, Saints (WR26): Slowing down the past few weeks, though it doesn't seem like it's his fault. Still, not a great option.

78. Latavius Murray, Broncos (RB24): Rushed for 130 yards last week, but it's tough for fantasy managers to expect that again.

79. Raheem Mostert, Dolphins (RB25): Rushed for 136 yards last week, but that also seems unlikely to continue.

80. Allen Lazard, Packers (WR27)

81. Trace McSorley, Cardinals (QB26):

82. DJ Moore, Panthers (WR28)

83. Malik Willis, Titans (QB27):

84. Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers (WR29): Loss of Deebo Samuel has not helped his targets at all.

85. Gabe Davis, Bills (WR30)

86. Baker Mayfield, Rams (QB28): You couldn't have been surprised at his performance on Monday. Not playable in fantasy.

87. Desmond Ridder, Falcons (QB29): Not a great first outing, but it has to improve soon. Leave him on your bench.

88. Davis Mills, Texans (QB30)

89. George Kittle, 49ers (TE4)

90. Darius Slayton, Giants (WR31): Last touchdown came in Week 10. Can you even name the other Giants WRs?

91. Courtland Sutton, Broncos (WR32): Still dealing with hamstring injury, but if he plays we must be interested.

92. Adam Thielen, Vikings (WR33)

93. Jakobi Meyers, Patriots (WR34): Well, he probably learned a critical lesson after he cost Patriots a chance to win Sunday.

94. Zack Moss, Colts (RB26): Rushed for 81 yards with no Jonathan Taylor, as Colts just look to end nightmare season.

95. Rachaad White, Buccaneers (RB27)

96. Devin Singletary, Bills (RB28)

97. D'Onta Foreman, Panthers (RB29): The highs and lows of this fellow statistically are hard to believe. Do you feel lucky?

98. Jamaal Williams, Lions (RB30): We figured the touchdowns would stop at some point. Oh well.

99. AJ Dillon, Packers (RB31)

100. Drake London, Falcons (WR35)

101. Treylon Burks, Titans (WR36): Future star still dealing with concussion, but likely to return this week.

102. Chris Moore, Texans (WR37)

103. Demarcus Robinson, Ravens (WR38)

104. DJ Chark, Lions (WR39): Quiet in Week 15, but more than 90 receiving yards in two games prior. Not a bad sleeper.

105. Brandin Cooks, Texans (WR40)

106. Isaiah McKenzie, Bills (WR41)

107. Mack Hollins, Raiders (WR42): Another sleeper who has definitely been involved over the past month.

108. Donovan Peoples-Jones, Browns (WR43): Inconsistent targets, but he scored second TD in Week 15.

109. Michael Gallup, Cowboys (WR44)

110. Dallas Goedert, Eagles (TE5): Last played in Week 10, but is healthy now and should be red zone factor against Dallas.

111. Dalton Schultz, Cowboys (TE6)

112. David Njoku, Browns (TE7)

113. Pat Freiermuth, Steelers (TE8)

114. Chuba Hubbard, Panthers (RB32)
