Need a last-minute pickup to round out your Week 11 roster? We're going to identify fantasy football pickups specifically for those of you seeking streaming options in deeper leagues. These are players that were available in a majority of ESPN Fantasy leagues (ahead of the standard waiver window on Tuesday night) -- and who could still be as of Friday morning -- and who have enticing matchups that make them worthy of consideration for your lineups.
While you might notice some overlap with Eric Moody's pickup column that publishes on Mondays, an important distinction is that the options mentioned in this column are focused solely on this week's matchup and not the players' values for the remainder of the season.
With the Dolphins, Buccaneers, Seahawks all on byes this week, we need to look at some streaming options at quarterback and find some pass-catchers to pick up. Marcus Mariota is an option this week in a matchup against a Bears defense that hasn't produced many impact plays. There's also another signal caller this week that has a higher fantasy floor and faces a defensive unit that outschemed. We'll also hit on the running backs, tight ends, plus a defense producing high-end sack numbers.
So, let's look at Mariota's matchup against the Bears' defense to get this thing started for the Week 11 NFL schedule.
The roster percentages for this column are updated every Friday morning, and any players from Thursday's Titans-Packers game have been taken out.
Quarterbacks
Marcus Mariota, Atlanta Falcons (44.3% rostered; vs. Bears)
I'd take the Falcons quarterback here against a Bears defense that plays very defined coverages and lacks difference-makers along their front seven. Mariota has scored at least 17 fantasy points in four of his last six starts and has two games with 22 or more points. We know he will see usage as a runner (33 carries during that stretch of games), and he has posted multiple touchdown throws two of the past three weeks.
Now, what can boost Mariota's Week 11 fantasy profile? More red zone targets for Drake London and Kyle Pitts. Both receivers have man-matchup advantages over the Bears' secondary, plus play-action concepts widen the windows for those end zone throws. This is easy money there in a week when Tua Tagovailoa, Tom Brady, Geno Smith and Trevor Lawrence are on byes.
Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers (43.0% rostered; at Cardinals)
The Cardinals are a schematic matchup for Garoppolo as a streaming option this week. He has posted 15 or more fantasy points in six of his eight starts this year and faces a Cardinals defense that has allowed an average of over 20 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Look for Kyle Shanahan to set Garoppolo up with quick reads to counter the pressure looks from Arizona, who ranks third in blitz rate this season (37.3%). This also presents great catch and run opportunities for Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey, as Garoppolo can take advantage of high-percentage screens and get the ball to the perimeter.
Other potential options: Taylor Heinicke, Washington Commanders (18.1% rostered; at Texans); Jacoby Brissett, Cleveland Browns (12.9% rostered; at Bills); Jared Goff, Detroit Lions (34.2% rostered; at Giants); Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh Steelers (6.8% rostered; at Bengals)
Running backs
Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs (38.3% rostered; at Chargers)
Pacheco faces a Chargers defense giving up an average of 5.39 yards per carry (31st in the NFL). He played the role of the lead back for Kansas City in Week 10, logging 16 carries for 82 yards, and we could see why on the tape. Pacheco is a decisive, downhill runner with stack moves. While Jerick McKinnon is still the preferred back in the passing game, which limits Pacheco's PPR upside, the rookie has surpassed Clyde Edwards-Helaire (zero carries in Week 10) on the depth chart. I'll take that and one of the NFL's best offenses in Week 11 game at home against the Chargers.
Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers (14.3% rostered; vs. Bengals)
Warren plays faster than Najee Harris. We can see it, right? There's just more juice there. The rookie has posted back-to-back games of double-digit PPR production and is getting more touches. Harris has logged only 15 carries and six receptions over the past two weeks. Warren gives the Steelers' pass game upside out of the backfield and has perimeter speed. He is a great deeper-league play for this week.
Other potential options: Jerick McKinnon, Kansas City Chiefs (24.4% rostered; vs. Chargers); Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams (12.5% rostered; at Saints); Latavius Murray, Denver Broncos (30.8% rostered; at Raiders)
Wide receivers
Parris Campbell, Indianapolis Colts (44.1% rostered; vs. Eagles)
Campbell has logged at least nine targets and 18 or more fantasy points in his past three games with Matt Ryan under center. That's real production, and he's seen plenty of volume in the quick game throws, running slants and under and crossing routes. That should continue in a matchup against the Eagles' defense and pass rush. Ryan will want to get the ball out quickly to counter his lack of mobility. While it is a tough matchup, Campbell's production and route structure give him WR3 upside in deep leagues with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, DK Metcalf, Tyreek Hill and more on byes this week.
Darius Slayton, New York Giants (15.7% rostered; vs. Lions)
Despite playing in run-focused offense, Slayton has some juice as a vertical stretch target with straight-line catch and run ability. He has had three straight games of double-digit PPR production and two receiving touchdowns during that stretch. Slayton could give your lineup a boost with explosive play opportunities and has a prime matchup in Week 11 against the Lions' defense.
Other possible options: Kadarius Toney, Kansas City Chiefs (55.9% rostered; at Chargers); Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kansas City Chiefs (47.1% rostered; at Chargers); Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns (33.5% rostered; at Bills); Nico Collins, Houston Texans (9.5% rostered; vs. Commanders); DeAndre Carter, Los Angeles Chargers (7.8% rostered; at Chiefs); Van Jefferson, Los Angeles Rams (12.6% rostered; at Saints); Ben Skowronek, Los Angeles Rams (5.3% rostered; at Saints)
Tight ends
Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears (63.1% rostered; at Falcons)
Kmet, who has posted back-to-back games with 22 or more PPR points, has TE1 upside this week against the Falcons' defense. He should be rostered in all league formats after adding another red zone score in Week 10 game against Detroit in addition to a touchdown on schemed shot play. Kmet has now recorded four touchdown grabs inside the 20-yard line in his past three games and has emerged as Justin Fields' No. 1 option.
Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints (15.6% rostered; vs. Rams)
Johnson has four touchdowns in his past three games, with three coming in the red zone. While he faces a tougher matchup this week against a Rams defense that has held opposing tight ends to an average of under 10 fantasy points per game, you can bet on Andy Dalton targeting Johnson when the Saints have the ball inside the 20-yard line. He will throw the seams and flood concepts to Johnson against a zone-heavy Rams defense in Week 11.
Other potential options: Foster Moreau, Las Vegas Raiders (19.5% rostered; at Broncos); Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals (4.3% rostered; at 49ers); Tre' McKitty, Los Angeles Chargers (0.1% rostered; at Chiefs)
Defense/special teams
New York Jets (61.0% rostered; at Patriots)
The Jets' defense has posted 10 or more fantasy points in five of its past six games. The pressure is getting home without blitzing (league low blitz rate of 14.0%). Robert Saleh's team is also great at taking the ball away, producing 11 sacks and three interceptions over the past two games. Take the Jets in Week 11 against the Patriots.
Other potential options: Washington Commanders (40.9% rostered; at Texans); Denver Broncos (45.3% rostered; vs. Raiders)
