Welcome to Week 8 of the NFL season and our weekly PPR fantasy football superflex rankings for 2022. We know many of you now compete in superflex formats that invite/covet second quarterbacks in starting lineups, so these rankings account for that. It might look odd to see the lowest-ranked fantasy passers ranked ahead of typical RB2 and WR2 options, but the potential scoring impact demands it. If your league is of the standard flex variety, just ignore the presence of quarterbacks. Regardless, good luck in Week 8 and beyond!
Week 8 byes: Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers
These rankings have been updated for news and to remove players from Thursday's Ravens-Buccaneers game.
1. Josh Allen, Bills (QB1): Averaging a cool 28.8 points per game. Nobody else is over 25. Allen is matchup-proof and probably league MVP.
2. Joe Burrow, Bengals (QB2): Six touchdown passes the past two games. Touchdown runs in three consecutive. Yeah, he's rolling.
3. Jalen Hurts, Eagles (QB3)
4. Saquon Barkley, Giants (RB1): But here, we're not so concerned with four consecutive games with fewer than 20 PPR points. It's different.
5. Cooper Kupp, Rams (WR1)
6. Tyreek Hill, Dolphins (WR2): Just doesn't matter who plays QB for him. He's getting so many targets.
7. Kyler Murray, Cardinals (QB4)
8. Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins (QB5): Play a month at a high level, with no injuries at all, and then we'll feel safe. At a minimum.
9. Stefon Diggs, Bills (WR3)
10. Justin Jefferson, Vikings (WR4)
11. Davante Adams, Raiders (WR5): Saints defense presents some problems, but Adams is unstoppable.
12. Derrick Henry, Titans (RB2): With 58 rushing attempts in his past two games, there's really nobody like Henry.
13. Josh Jacobs, Raiders (RB3): That's more than 30 PPR points in three consecutive games. Best run of his career.
14. Alvin Kamara, Saints (RB4)
15. Joe Mixon, Bengals (RB5): Still not efficient, but boasts a safe role with enough touches.
16. Christian McCaffrey, 49ers (RB6): Probably sees more volume in his second 49ers game, but is he really in a better situation to statistically thrive?
17. Daniel Jones, Giants (QB6): You know that as soon as you trust him, he'll go back to what we thought he was.
18. Geno Smith, Seahawks (QB7)
19. Kirk Cousins, Vikings (QB8)
20. Derek Carr, Raiders (QB9)
21. Dameon Pierce, Texans (RB7): Rookie has surpassed 100 total yards in four consecutive games. On his way to RB1 status.
22. Jonathan Taylor, Colts (RB8): Big week for him, presumably healthy and with a new QB. Needs to start delivering 2021 numbers.
23. Dalvin Cook, Vikings (RB9)
24. Nick Chubb, Browns (RB10): He already has eight rushing touchdowns, in only seven games. Career high is 12 TDs.
25. A.J. Brown, Eagles (WR6)
26. Tee Higgins, Bengals (WR7)
27. Dak Prescott, Cowboys (QB10): Give him a pass for a quiet first game back. But he needs to do more this week.
28. Taylor Heinicke, Commanders (QB11): Kind of embarrassing that Commanders thought the guy they brought in was so much better. He's not.
29. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions (WR8): Concussion protocol ended his Week 7 very early. Lions confident he's fine now.
30. Jaylen Waddle, Dolphins (WR9)
31. Andy Dalton, Saints (QB12): Well, apparently the Saints like him.
32. Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars (QB13): Back to trending toward QB1 status. No, really, he is. It's a mess out there at QB.
33. Jared Goff, Lions (QB14): Back on the most-dropped list, after doing little the past few games. This is an important game for him.
34. Marcus Mariota, Falcons (QB15)
35. Travis Etienne Jr., Jaguars (RB11): My take is he had already moved to top of the depth chart. It wasn't a timeshare. Go get him.
36. Aaron Rodgers, Packers (QB16): The positive side of his disappointing season is he's consistently scoring around 16 fantasy PPG.
37. Malik Willis, Titans (QB17): Ryan Tannehill is out, and it's time for Willis to show what he can do.
38. Kenneth Walker III, Seahawks (RB12): Superstar, but one with a challenging matchup this week.
39. Miles Sanders, Eagles (RB13): Comes off the bye week presumably as healthy as can be.
40. Raheem Mostert, Dolphins (RB14)
41. CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys (WR10)
42. DeAndre Hopkins, Cardinals (WR11): Gotta love 14 targets in a season debut. If Murray looks his way every other pass, we love it.
43. Chris Olave, Saints (WR12): He had 14 targets in the same game. Saints QBs keep looking his way, too.
44. DJ Moore, Panthers (WR13)
45. Russell Wilson, Broncos (QB18): Perhaps he plays, perhaps he doesn't. Do you have a preference?
46. Matthew Stafford, Rams (QB19): Comes off the bye week with brutal season numbers. This is a big week for his fantasy value, what's left of it.
47. Zach Wilson, Jets (QB20)
48. Devin Singletary, Bills (RB15)
49. Aaron Jones, Packers (RB16): More receptions than rushing attempts is not what we thought would happen here. It happened in Week 7.
50. D'Andre Swift, Lions (RB17): Still dealing with shoulder injury, and have to wonder if they compromise his entire season.
51. Amari Cooper, Browns (WR14)
52. Michael Pittman Jr., Colts (WR15): One presumes the new QB throws his way, but perhaps the Colts just run the ball more. Who knows?
53. Courtland Sutton, Broncos (WR16): Will someone just throw the football in his general direction?
54. DK Metcalf, Seahawks (WR17): Reportedly will play despite being carted off with knee injury last week.
55. Tyler Lockett, Seahawks (WR18)
56. Jacoby Brissett, Browns (QB21): Only a few starts left for him. Check your waiver wire to see if Deshaun Watson is available. He shouldn't be.
57. Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers (QB22)
58. Sam Ehlinger, Colts (QB23): Sixth-round pick from 2021 gets his shot. To Matt Ryan we say, thanks for the memories.
59. Davis Mills, Texans (QB24)
60. Justin Fields, Bears (QB25): Has 80-plus rushing yards in consecutive games, but now has to face Micah Parsons and Dallas.
61. Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots (RB18): We'd rank him better if we thought the volume would continue. It may not.
62. Najee Harris, Steelers (RB19)
63. Diontae Johnson, Steelers (WR19)
64. Eno Benjamin, Cardinals (RB20): Another chance with James Conner out.
65. DeVonta Smith, Eagles (WR20)
66. Terry McLaurin, Commanders (WR21): Maybe the QB was the problem all along. Nice work, Commanders.
67. Kenny Pickett, Steelers (QB26)
68. PJ Walker, Panthers (QB27): If he just takes care of the football, he may keep playing. Panthers need to draft a QB.
69. Mac Jones, Patriots (QB28): Not an easy matchup and no telling when they bench him again.
70. Michael Carter, Jets (RB21): Presumably sees volume as James Robinson learns the plays, but could be split. Oh, how we will miss Breece Hall.
71. David Montgomery, Bears (RB22)
72. Jakobi Meyers, Patriots (WR22)
73. Christian Kirk, Jaguars (WR23): Nice outing versus Giants. Lawrence really needs to make sure Kirk gets enough touches.
74. Tony Pollard, Cowboys (RB23): Has 80-plus rushing yards in three of past five games. Really deserves more volume, but they are winning.
75. Darrell Henderson Jr., Rams (RB24): Who knows? Honestly, do the Rams even know who, if anyone, will get touches?
76. Tyler Allgeier, Falcons (RB25)
77. D'Onta Foreman, Panthers (RB26): Great first game with McCaffrey gone, but perhaps a timeshare, too.
78. Jamaal Williams, Lions (RB27): Keep him rostered. We have no idea if Swift is healthy enough.
79. Tyler Boyd, Bengals (WR24): Should see consistent targets with Ja'Marr Chase out at least a month.
80. Gabe Davis, Bills (WR25)
81. Adam Thielen, Vikings (WR26)
82. Brandin Cooks, Texans (WR27): It's not gonna be three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in Houston at this rate. Not even close. You don't have to play him.
83. Zach Ertz, Cardinals (TE1)
84. George Kittle, 49ers (TE2): Two big games in a row, and he returns to the top five at tight end.
85. Jerry Jeudy, Broncos (WR28): He's actually on a nice run, with 50-plus yards in four consecutive games.
86. Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers (WR29)
87. Tyler Higbee, Rams (TE3)
88. Pat Freiermuth, Steelers (TE4)
89. T.J. Hockenson, Lions (TE5)
90. Dallas Goedert, Eagles (TE6)
91. Melvin Gordon III, Broncos (RB28): Even if he starts again, obviously no guarantees of production. You're better off looking elsewhere, if you can.
92. Latavius Murray, Broncos (RB29): Keep him rostered, just in case. It's trade season!
93. Brian Robinson Jr., Commanders (RB30)
94. Antonio Gibson, Commanders (RB31): Still involved in the offense, which is a bit odd since Robinson is healthy.
95. Kareem Hunt, Browns (RB32)
96. James Robinson, Jets (RB33): This Robinson should be a factor for Jets, but how much initially?
97. Curtis Samuel, Commanders (WR30)
98. Darnell Mooney, Bears (WR31): Nice first half on Monday, but then Fields stopped throwing.
99. Chase Claypool, Steelers (WR32): Certainly there are good signs the past three games. Worth keeping rostered.
100. George Pickens, Steelers (WR33)
101. Rondale Moore, Cardinals (WR34): Inconsistent volume, to say the least. Hard to trust him in fantasy.
102. Darren Waller, Raiders (TE7): Hardly a sure thing to play through hamstring injury this week. Lost season?
103. Greg Dulcich, Broncos (TE8)
104. Mike Gesicki, Dolphins (TE9)
105. Zay Jones, Jaguars (WR35)
106. Parris Campbell, Colts (WR36): Double-digit targets the past two games, with a touchdown, but we'll see if new QB looks his way.
107. Robert Woods, Titans (WR37): His season high is four catches. It's not really working out.
108. Romeo Doubs, Packers (WR38)
109. Drake London, Falcons (WR39): One target in Week 7. One. What are the Falcons doing?
110. Garrett Wilson, Jets (WR40)
111. Wan'Dale Robinson, Giants (WR41): Big first half in Week 7, and Daniel Jones needs someone to throw to.
112. Nyheim Hines, Colts (RB34)
113. Damien Harris, Patriots (RB35): Quiet on Monday night, but Patriots likely to increase his volume this week.
114. Chase Edmonds, Dolphins (RB36)
115. Khalil Herbert, Bears (RB37): This fellow deserves more volume. Perhaps more volume than the starter.
116. Donovan Peoples-Jones, Browns (WR42)
117. Allen Robinson II, Rams (WR43): Two catches for seven yards in first 49ers meeting a few weeks back. Yawn.
118. Josh Reynolds, Lions (WR44)
119. Hunter Renfrow, Raiders (WR45): Missed a few games with concussion, but certainly no path to 100 catches with Adams around.
120. Michael Gallup, Cowboys (WR46)
121. Hayden Hurst, Bengals (TE10):
122. Kyle Pitts, Falcons (TE11): This is probably his final week ranked among top 10 tight ends if things don't improve.
123. Rex Burkhead, Texans (RB38)
124. Jeff Wilson Jr., 49ers (RB39): Keep him rostered in case McCaffrey gets hurt, because, well, you know.
125. AJ Dillon, Packers (RB40)
126. Caleb Huntley, Falcons (RB41)
127. Darius Slayton, Giants (WR47)
128. Darrel Williams, Cardinals (RB42)
129. Raheem Blackshear, Panthers (RB43)
130. Elijah Moore, Jets (WR48)
131. Jahan Dotson, Commanders (WR49)
132. Robert Tonyan, Packers (TE12)
133. Dalton Schultz, Cowboys (TE13)
134. Marvin Jones Jr., Jaguars (WR50)
135. Robbie Anderson, Cardinals (WR51)
136. Terrace Marshall Jr., Panthers (WR52)
137. Mack Hollins, Raiders (WR53)
138. Alec Pierce, Colts (WR54)
139. Van Jefferson, Rams (WR55)
140. Isaiah McKenzie, Bills (WR56)
141. Noah Brown, Cowboys (WR57)
142. Dawson Knox, Bills (TE14)
143. Irv Smith Jr., Vikings (TE15)
144. Evan Engram, Jaguars (TE16)
145. Harrison Bryant, Browns (TE17)
146. Tyler Conklin, Jets (TE18)
147. Malik Davis, Cowboys (RB44)
148. Dontrell Hilliard, Titans (RB45)
149. J.D. McKissic, Commanders (RB46)
150. Alexander Mattison, Vikings (RB47)
