Fantasy football flex and superflex rankings for Week 4

Welcome to Week 4 of the NFL season and our weekly PPR fantasy football superflex rankings for 2022. We know many of you now compete in superflex formats that invite/covet second quarterbacks in starting lineups, so these rankings account for that. It might look odd to see the lowest-ranked fantasy passers ranked ahead of typical RB2 and WR2 options, but the potential scoring impact demands it. If your league is of the standard flex variety, just ignore the presence of quarterbacks. Regardless, good luck in Week 4 and beyond!

1. Lamar Jackson, Ravens (QB1): Great matchup of the top two quarterbacks this week, and it's likely neither defense can contain them.

2. Josh Allen, Bills (QB2): Boy, the Bills sure seem to be throwing the ball a lot. Like more than ever.

3. Jalen Hurts, Eagles (QB3): Speaking of, the Eagles are throwing the football a ton, too. And their QB can handle it.

4. Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs (QB4): Just kind of ordinary the past two weeks. Are you still expecting top-three QB performance?

5. Justin Herbert, Chargers (QB5): Played through rib injury and the stats were there. As expected.

6. Jonathan Taylor, Colts (RB1): Things will improve. Schedule has been part of it.

7. Christian McCaffrey, Panthers (RB2): Give him credit. He's played in all the games. Could use more receptions, that's for sure.

8. Saquon Barkley, Giants (RB3): His ranking finally matches his production. Just. Stay. Healthy. Please.

9. Stefon Diggs, Bills (WR1)

10. Cooper Kupp, Rams (WR2): Wait, wasn't he contractually obligated to surpass 90 receiving yards every game? What happened?

11. Kyler Murray, Cardinals (QB6)

12. Aaron Rodgers, Packers (QB7): No big games yet, but the schedule improves after this week.

13. Deebo Samuel, 49ers (WR3): More rushing attempts than catches so far, which looks a bit weird. Pile on both, we say!

14. Justin Jefferson, Vikings (WR4): OK, one quiet game we overlook. A second one concerns us. Big game coming this week!

15. Davante Adams, Raiders (WR5): He's not happy with the losing. Well, they weren't losing where he came from. Catching only half his targets, so far.

16. Austin Ekeler, Chargers (RB4): This is definitely not what we signed up for. Chargers need to get him more involved.

17. Derrick Henry, Titans (RB5)

18. Nick Chubb, Browns (RB6): League's leading rusher may be in line for his best NFL season, but will be tough to lead in fantasy at one reception per game.

19. Leonard Fournette, Buccaneers (RB7)

20. Russell Wilson, Broncos (QB8): Something is definitely amiss here, but what choice do we have but to be patient?

21. Tom Brady, Buccaneers (QB9): Same deal. Perhaps healthy receivers will improve things.

22. A.J. Brown, Eagles (WR6)

23. Alvin Kamara, Saints (RB8): Too early to call him a bust, even if we are concerned. Reminder: Saints-Vikings in London at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.

24. Najee Harris, Steelers (RB9)

25. Matthew Stafford, Rams (QB10): Road tilt in San Francisco not exactly the easiest matchup.

26. Jared Goff, Lions (QB11): And here is Goff, right next to his trade buddy Matthew in the rankings. Not expected.

27. Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars (QB12): Will surely be tested against Eagles' pass rush, tough secondary. Still, we like him.

28. Kirk Cousins, Vikings (QB13)

29. Derek Carr, Raiders (QB14): The No. 12 fantasy QB so far is doing pretty much what was expected.

30. James Conner, Cardinals (RB10): Remember, investing in an RB who scores TDs without many yards is dangerous, and we're seeing it here.

31. Javonte Williams, Broncos (RB11)

32. Dalvin Cook, Vikings (RB12): Have to assume he plays this week, despite shoulder dislocation, because team said so.

33. Jamaal Williams, Lions (RB13): D'Andre Swift has been ruled out. Have to think Williams performs well.

34. James Robinson, Jaguars (RB14)

35. Mark Andrews, Ravens (TE1): Would rank sixth among WRs in PPR scoring. That's pretty telling.

36. Travis Kelce, Chiefs (TE2)

37. Marcus Mariota, Falcons (QB15): Only 20 rushing yards the past two games. He had 72 in Week 1. May not be starting in a month.

38. Geno Smith, Seahawks (QB16): Well, he's outscored Russell Wilson so far! That's not saying much, though.

39. Christian Kirk, Jaguars (WR7)

40. Michael Pittman Jr., Colts (WR8): Looked great in win over the Chiefs and he's enjoyed past meetings with the Titans.

41. Daniel Jones, Giants (QB17): Still wondering about his receivers, but he has more rushing yards than Josh Allen.

42. Carson Wentz, Commanders (QB18)

43. Zach Wilson, Jets (QB19): Pittsburgh is not the easiest place to play, but Wilson has the talent to matter in fantasy quickly.

44. Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers (QB20)

45. Aaron Jones, Packers (RB15): Only one good game out of three, but he gets a pass, so far. Hard to predict his touches.

46. Jeff Wilson Jr., 49ers (RB16)

47. Khalil Herbert, Bears (RB17): Looks like another golden opportunity for Herbert.

48. Diontae Johnson, Steelers (WR9): Teams have been able to throw on the Jets, and Johnson has double-digit targets each week so far.

49. Courtland Sutton, Broncos (WR10)

50. Mike Evans, Buccaneers (WR11): Back from one-game suspension and boy does his quarterback need him!

51. CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys (WR12): Also has double-digit targets in all three games. Good time to acquire him, before big numbers come.

52. Jacoby Brissett, Browns (QB21)

53. Mitch Trubisky, Steelers (QB22)

54. Ryan Tannehill, Titans (QB23): If he isn't running, it's a problem. He topped 250 rushing yards the past two years. Has 11 so far.

55. Matt Ryan, Colts (QB24)

56. Baker Mayfield, Panthers (QB25)

57. Justin Fields, Bears (QB26): Has 45 pass attempts this season. Josh Allen had 63 attempts last week! Fields is unusable this way.

58. Andy Dalton, Saints (QB27)

59. Cooper Rush, Cowboys (QB28): This may be his final start for a while, and he really hasn't been so bad.

60. Antonio Gibson, Commanders (RB18)

61. Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys (RB19): He scored a touchdown! Hard not to notice he has three catches for minus-5 yards so far, though.

62. Miles Sanders, Eagles (RB20)

63. Davis Mills, Texans (QB29)

64. Brian Hoyer, Patriots (QB30): Filling in for Mac Jones. Hoyer has experience. Probably deserves a better ranking.

65. Dameon Pierce, Texans (RB21): Yep, it's his starting job. Things will only improve here.

66. Josh Jacobs, Raiders (RB22)

67. Cordarrelle Patterson, Falcons (RB23): Didn't expect to see his name among the rushing leaders, but here we are. Averaging 6.2 yards per rush!

68. Marquise Brown, Cardinals (WR13): Seventeen targets the first two weeks and then, 17 in Week 3. That's gonna work.

69. DK Metcalf, Seahawks (WR14)

70. DeVonta Smith, Eagles (WR15): Would be the No. 1 WR on many teams. Eagles' pass offense is thriving.

71. Amari Cooper, Browns (WR16): Cooper is getting all the love the past two weeks. No sign of Donovan Peoples-Jones anymore.

72. Drake London, Falcons (WR17)

73. AJ Dillon, Packers (RB24)

74. Mike Williams, Chargers (WR18)

75. Devin Singletary, Bills (RB25): Turned nine carries into 13 yards. Turned nine receptions into 78 and a score. Yards are yards. Just get 'em.

76. Breece Hall, Jets (RB26): He's also doing some fine work in the passing game. Whatever works.

77. Kareem Hunt, Browns (RB27)

78. Brandin Cooks, Texans (WR19): Yeah, it's time to worry a bit, but not time to cut Cooks. Give it more time.

79. Tyler Lockett, Seahawks (WR20)

80. Chris Olave, Saints (WR21): Saints sure throw a lot, and Olave sure seems to get open a lot.

81. Garrett Wilson, Jets (WR22)

82. George Kittle, 49ers (TE3): Well, he played. Didn't get many targets, but he suited up. Numbers are pending.

83. Kyle Pitts, Falcons (TE4): Got the targets and there's still time for another run at 1,000 yards.

84. Darren Waller, Raiders (TE5)

85. DJ Moore, Panthers (WR23): As with Cooks, keep him rostered, but perhaps on the bench until something changes.

86. Curtis Samuel, Commanders (WR24)

87. Terry McLaurin, Commanders (WR25)

88. Gabe Davis, Bills (WR26): Had his chances for a bigger Week 3 game, and remains a potential WR2 option soon.

89. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Chiefs (RB28): Had the same number of Week 3 rushing yards that you and I did. We'd like to see that change.

90. Tony Pollard, Cowboys (RB29): Give him 20 touches per week and he'd be a star. Like a potential RB1.

91. Michael Carter, Jets (RB30)

92. Damien Harris, Patriots (RB31): Still in a timeshare, and tough opponent this week.

93. Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots (RB32)

94. Rashaad Penny, Seahawks (RB33): Has run well in two of the three weeks, but is no factor in passing game.

95. J.K. Dobbins, Ravens (RB34): He played, but the way his QB is playing, can Dobbins deliver big numbers again?

96. Zay Jones, Jaguars (WR27): Tough to ignore the many targets.

97. Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers (WR28)

98. JuJu Smith-Schuster, Chiefs (WR29)

99. Rashod Bateman, Ravens (WR30): Big-play guy is a bit too reliant on the big plays.

100. Chris Godwin, Buccaneers (WR31): Perhaps he returns from hamstring injury. Perhaps he does not.

101. Tyler Higbee, Rams (TE6)

102. Pat Freiermuth, Steelers (TE7)

103. Zach Ertz, Cardinals (TE8): Line would have looked better had he not dropped a touchdown pass last week. Still a top-10 option.

104. T.J. Hockenson, Lions (TE9): Fewer than 40 receiving yards in each game, which is becoming an issue.

105. Dallas Goedert, Eagles (TE10)

106. Melvin Gordon III, Broncos (RB35)

107. Cam Akers, Rams (RB36): He's getting the rushing attempts now, and RB2 upside surely remains a possibility.

108. Chase Claypool, Steelers (WR32)

109. Adam Thielen, Vikings (WR33): Trending in the right direction the past few weeks.

110. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Chiefs (WR34)

111. Elijah Moore, Jets (WR35): If Zach Wilson plays well, more than one Jets WR can thrive.

112. Jerry Jeudy, Broncos (WR36): Seven catches on 16 targets so far. It's someone's fault. Jeudy must do more.

113. Allen Lazard, Packers (WR37)

114. Allen Robinson II, Rams (WR38): Can't trust him yet, not with four targets per game.

115. Robert Woods, Titans (WR39): Former Ram had nine targets last week. It's a great sign.

116. Travis Etienne Jr., Jaguars (RB37)

117. Nyheim Hines, Colts (RB38):

118. J.D. McKissic, Commanders (RB39)

119. Rex Burkhead, Texans (RB40)

120. Romeo Doubs, Packers (WR40): Looked like the team's top receiver in win over Bucs.

121. Josh Reynolds, Lions (WR41)

122. Joshua Palmer, Chargers (WR42)

123. Greg Dortch, Cardinals (WR43): Still filling in for Rondale Moore, but what if Cards keep letting him catch passes?

124. Isaiah McKenzie, Bills (WR44)

125. Richie James, Giants (WR45): Someone has to catch the passes. James actually leads the Giants with 14 of them.

126. Nico Collins, Texans (WR46)

127. George Pickens, Steelers (WR47): Got seven targets last week, so Steelers seem to realize he needs more chances.

128. Treylon Burks, Titans (WR48): Promising first two games, then came Week 3. Ah, rookies!

129. Marvin Jones Jr., Jaguars (WR49)

130. Robbie Anderson, Panthers (WR50)

131. Jahan Dotson, Commanders (WR51): Turned eight targets into 10 receiving yards versus Eagles. Boom-or-bust option.

132. Darrell Henderson Jr., Rams (RB41)

133. Eno Benjamin, Cardinals (RB42): Conner insurance, but doesn't look like a touchdown option.

134. Kenneth Walker III, Seahawks (RB43):

135. Alexander Mattison, Vikings (RB44): Add him anyway, even if Cook suits up. Mattison has always produced when given a chance.

136. Julio Jones, Buccaneers (WR52): And you thought rostering a future Hall of Famer would be so much fun!

137. Jerick McKinnon, Chiefs (RB45)

138. Tyler Allgeier, Falcons (RB46)

139. Mark Ingram II, Saints (RB47)

140. Jarvis Landry, Saints (WR53)

141. DeVante Parker, Patriots (WR54)

142. Russell Gage, Buccaneers (WR55)

143. Michael Gallup, Cowboys (WR56)

144. Kalif Raymond, Lions (WR57)

145. Devin Duvernay, Ravens (WR58)

146. Nelson Agholor, Patriots (WR59)

147. DeAndre Carter, Chargers (WR60)

148. David Njoku, Browns (TE11)

149. Tyler Conklin, Jets (TE12)

150. Dalton Schultz, Cowboys (TE13)
