Overwatch: Fearless takes personal leave from Shanghai Dragons

The Shanghai Dragons will be without main tank Lee "Fearless" Eui-seok for the start of the 2019 Overwatch League season as he deals with a health condition at home in South Korea, the team announced on Friday.

Fearless had asked for permission to recuperate away from the team, citing the strain of keeping up with training amid his undisclosed health issue.

The Dragons, which went 0-40 in Season 1 of the Overwatch League, underwent a major revamp in the offseason, removing nearly the entire roster and replacing them with a majority of players from KongDoo Panthera.

The team added Bae "diem" Min-seong, Yang "DDing" Jin-hyeok, Jin "YOUNGJIN" Young-jin, Yang "Luffy" Seong-hyeon, Son "CoMa" Kyung-woo, and Jo "GuardiaN" Jun-hwan to the roster. Coach Wi "BlueHaS" Seung-hwan's squad also includes holdovers Weida "Diya" Lu, Kim "Geguri" Se-yeon and Fearless.

The Dragons said in a statement that the team would use "multiple players" to fill the main tank role as they await his return.
