TOP STORY: Inter Milan return to Thuram after picking Correa instead last summer
Internazionale want to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram amid their growing impatience with Joaquin Correa, as has been reported by Calciomercato.
The Serie A giants had actually been close to signing Thuram last summer, but the Frenchman suffered a knee injury 24 hours before an agreement was supposed to be finalised, ending those hopes.
This resulted in Inter moving for Correa, but they are unsatisfied with the Argentine's output after 18 months, believing there have been too many muscle injuries and not enough goals from him.
Unwilling to wait much longer for the 28-year-old to come good in a Nerazzurri shirt, Inter Milan have returned to Thuram as an option they are seriously considering.
While Thuram's Gladbach contract ends in the summer, meaning he would be available as a free agent, Inter could make an attempt to sign the France international in January after he has returned from the World Cup.
It is believed this would be a complex deal for Inter to complete, although that does not necessarily mean it would be impossible. They would need to reduce their squad and bring in around €10 million, with the possible departure of left-wing Robin Gosens a move that could help make it happen.
However, it is too early to outline how their January plans will work out, and signing the forward in the summer is seen as an alternative approach. For now, Thuram is focusing on his World Cup campaign with France.

15.00 GMT: Atletico Madrid are yet to receive any offers for wantaway forward Joao Felix, Diario AS reports.
Felix, 23 -- who is currently with Portugal at the World Cup -- has failed to live up to expectations in Madrid since signing in a €126m deal in 2019, with seven of his 12 LaLiga appearances this season coming as a substitute.
According to AS, the player is now keen to leave and "a loan would be the most interesting option for all parties" but while various clubs are monitoring his situation, none have yet made contact with Atletico.

13.16 GMT: Arsenal face competition from Ajax and Monaco for Palmeiras midfielder Danilo after the Brazilian club indicated they would be willing to accept around €24m, sources have told ESPN.
Mikel Arteta's side enquired about the 21-year-old in the summer but were told Palmeiras had no interest in selling while pursuing their 11th Brazilian Serie A title, which they then claimed at the beginning of the month with a 4-0 win over Fortaleza.
Sources have told ESPN that Palmeiras have since softened their stance, which has led Arsenal to revive their interest as they search for a central midfielder to strengthen their squad.
12.42 GMT: Paris Saint-Germain are looking to beat Real Madrid to the signing of teenage forward Endrick from Palmeiras by striking an €80m double deal for the 16-year-old and attacking midfielder Estevao, 15, according to the newspaper O Globo.
PSG, Madrid and Chelsea have all been tracking Endrick, who is already starring for Palmeiras' first team.
O Globo reports that PSG's latest proposal would be for a €50m fee up front -- for both Endrick and Estevao, who is another highly-rated prospect -- with another €30m in variables.
Neither player could leave Brazil until they turn 18, in Endrick's case in July 2024.
11.25 GMT: Norway winger Ola Solbakken has landed in Rome ahead of signing for AS Roma, says Corriere dello Sport.
Solbakken, 24, will become Roma's first signing in the January transfer window. The FK Bodo/Glimt player will join the Giallorossi as a free agent.
A reported target of Napoli, Solbakken will put pen to paper on a contract with Roma until June 2027. He has scored four goals and set up six more in 16 games this season.
10.50 GMT: Manchester United are among the clubs interested in hiring Spain coach Luis Enrique, according to AS.
The former Barcelona coach has not renewed his contract, which expires at the end of the World Cup. The Spanish FA want Luis Enrique to continue until 2024 but the coach, who has been at the helm of the national team since July 2018, has made his mind up.
Luis Enrique wants to return to coach a club and has several offers, from two Premier League clubs, including United, as well as from Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
Juve are rumoured to have offered Luis Enrique €10m per season; Atletico were keen to sign Luis Enrique in the past and now consider him the No. 1 choice should they part company with current manager Diego Simeone.
10.21 GMT: Zinedine Zidane has reached a preliminary agreement with the French Football Federation to replace Didier Deschamps as France's national team coach after the World Cup, Mundo Deportivo reports.
Zidane -- a key member of the France team that won the 1998 World Cup and the European Championships in 2000 -- has been out of work since walking away from Real Madrid, where he won three Champions Leagues and three LaLiga titles as coach, in May 2021.
According to Mundo Deportivo, it's Zidane's "dream" to manage France, which is why he turned down the opportunity to take over at Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

09.34 GMT: Barcelona defender Hector Bellerin is not considering leaving the club in the winter transfer window, according to Marca.
Barca are looking for a right-back in January but have not informed the player to find another club in the next transfer window. AS Roma and Real Betis are among the clubs that are interested in the former Arsenal player.
Bellerin intends to stay until June when his contract expires. The 27-year-old does not fear competition and is willing to fight for playing time.
A youth product of Barca and Arsenal, Bellerin returned to the Catalan club in the summer as a free agent and signed a one-year contract.
08.48 GMT: FC Porto will offer Iran striker Mehdi Taremi a new contract after the World Cup, according to Record.
The Portuguese club are aware of the interest from other clubs in Taremi after scoring 11 goals and setting up seven more in 18 appearances in all competitions for them so far this season. He also scored twice against England in Iran's 6-2 loss in their World Cup opener on Monday.
Taremi is under contract with Porto until June 2024 but the Dragoes are already looking to offer him an improved deal. He is in no hurry to sign a new deal as he reportedly wants to evaluate the offers he has once the World Cup is over.
"I'm happy at FC Porto," Taremi recently said. "It is a great club in Portugal and Europe. We will see what happens after after the World Cup."

The journalist adds that the Bundesliga outfit needs the money the Croatia international would bring in, with hopes that the fee will be around €15m to €25m.
