Former Jaguars safety Johnathan Cyprien will sign a deal with Tennessee Titans, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Jaguars took Cyprien with the first pick of the second round in 2013 and he has missed only four games in four seasons.
He was drafted to be a box safety in former head coach Gus Bradley's Seattle-style defense but he was forced into more coverage responsibility in his first three seasons because the defense lacked a player capable of playing single high safety.
Cyprien, 26, had his best season in 2016 after the team signed free safety Tashaun Gipson, which allowed him to play closer to the line of scrimmage. Cyprien responded by setting a career high with 128 tackles. He also broke up four passes, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.
However, Cyprien still didn't make many big plays. In 60 career games he has just two interceptions, 15 pass breakups, and four forced fumbles.
