We're through Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season, and with only eight full weeks left in the regular season, the playoff picture and the road to Super Bowl LX are starting to come into view. Good teams have become great, bad teams keep finding ways to surprise us and the race for wild-card spots is only getting wilder. Which teams have the best chances to make the 14-team playoff field? Which still have work to do to ultimately get in?
We used ESPN's Football Power Index to project the rest of the season, looking at the playoff picture for both conferences. We included updated odds for every team to make the postseason, clinch its division and even make the Super Bowl.
Here's everything you need right now.

Projecting the AFC playoff field
After the Patriots' win over the Buccaneers, New England has further strengthened its hold on the AFC East. QB Drake Maye is now the favorite to win NFL MVP, and the Pats have the second-easiest remaining schedule in the AFC after arguably their toughest test of the season. The Bills' loss to the Dolphins only helped the Patriots, especially after Josh Allen's third matchup with multiple turnovers in Buffalo's past five games.
The Colts still have the top spot in the AFC South, but the Texans' miraculous comeback against the Jaguars complicated matters in the wild-card race. According to ESPN Research, Houston entered the game 0-76 all time in games in which it trailed by 19 or more points in the fourth quarter (including playoffs). Jacksonville could not protect QB Trevor Lawrence, who was pressured on 50% of his dropbacks -- the second-highest rate of his career -- which led to the Jags enduring their largest blown lead ever.

Projecting the NFC playoff field
The Rams took one more step toward control of the NFC West after their win over the 49ers despite an 88.8 QBR from San Francisco QB Mac Jones. Matthew Stafford has been playing some of the best football of his career, becoming the first QB in NFL history with 20 or more passing touchdowns and zero interceptions in a six-game span within a season. Week 11's matchup between the Rams and Seahawks (who are also 7-2) will be crucial for both teams and holds major playoff implications.
The Lions had a good "bounce-back" win over the struggling Commanders, while the Eagles won against the Packers in a defensive standoff on "Monday Night Football." Philly saw its playoff chances skyrocket in a noncompetitive NFC East, while Green Bay faces competition in the NFC North as the Bears pulled off a late comeback against the Giants to move to 6-3.
