News: 3 days agoThe Jaguars acquired Meyers from the Raiders on Tuesday in exchange for 2026 fourth- and sixth-round draft picks, Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Spin: A pending free agent, Meyers had made it clear that he wanted to be moved ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline, and the Raiders were able to find a suitor willing to take on the remainder of the wideout's $5.25 million base salary. In Jacksonville, Meyers will fill the void left when No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter (knee) landed on injured reserve last week. As was the case in Las Vegas, Meyers will face competition for targets with Jacksonville in the form of Brian Thomas (ankle), but there should be enough volume to go around for both receivers. Over his seven appearances for the Raiders this season, Meyers recorded 33 catches for 352 yards and no touchdowns on 49 targets.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Perhaps the most underrated player in fantasy, Meyers enters 2025 eyeing his fifth consecutive top-30 fantasy campaign. The veteran is one of 10 receivers with 67-plus receptions and 800-plus receiving yards in each of the past four seasons and he peaked with career highs in targets, catches, yards and end zone targets (11) in 2024. The 28-year-old has dealt with shaky QB play in recent seasons, but is in a better spot this season with Geno Smith under center and Pete Carroll coaching the team. Second only to Brock Bowers in target priority, Meyers figures to again push for WR3/flex numbers, but will likely be undervalued on draft day.
