The deal
Lakers get: Rights to No. 30 pick Josh Hart and No. 42 pick Thomas Bryant
Jazz get: Rights to No. 28 pick Tony Bradley
Utah Jazz: C+

This is an interesting trade because the Jazz moved up just two picks to get Bradley. Clearly, the Lakers weren't planning to take him -- or at least didn't feel so strongly about taking him they were willing to turn down this trade -- so Utah must have believed that the San Antonio Spurs (picking in between at 29) were either going to take Bradley or trade the pick to someone who would.
In value terms, it isn't bad -- the Jazz gave up 690 points by my trade value chart and got back 570. So if the Jazz felt that strongly about Bradley (who ranked 12th in my consensus projections), that's reasonable even if there isn't a lot of opportunity for Bradley as a backup to Rudy Gobert.
Los Angeles Lakers: A

Conversely, I love this trade for the Lakers. I'm not sure whether they had to sweat out the Spurs potentially taking Hart -- a more reasonable target for San Antonio than Bradley -- but presumably the Lakers got their guy and added a decent second-round pick in the process.
I liked both of the Lakers' picks from this trade. Hart ranked eighth in my stats-only projections based on his outstanding play at Villanova, while Bryant ranked 18th after two years at Indiana. They completed what looks like an excellent first draft for the new Lakers front office.
