Fantasy football flex and superflex rankings for Week 2

Welcome to Week 2 of the NFL season and our weekly PPR fantasy football superflex rankings for 2022. We know many of you now compete in superflex formats that invite/covet second quarterbacks in starting lineups, so these rankings account for that. It may look odd to see the lowest-ranked fantasy passers ranked ahead of typical RB2 and WR2 options, but the potential scoring impact demands it. If your league is of the standard flex variety, just ignore the presence of quarterbacks. Regardless, good luck in Week 2 and beyond!

These rankings have been updated for news and to remove players from Thursday's Chiefs/Chargers game.

1. Josh Allen, Bills (QB1): Even when he's turning the ball over, as he did in Week 1, still a monster game.

2. Jalen Hurts, Eagles (QB2): Can't imagine the Eagles want him running the ball 17 times per game, but we like it.

3. Lamar Jackson, Ravens (QB3): His young wide receivers are looking good. Just wait until Jackson runs!

4. Kyler Murray, Cardinals (QB4): His opposition will get easier. Murray didn't look great, but it was still 20 fantasy points.

5. Jonathan Taylor, Colts (RB1)
6. Cooper Kupp, Rams (WR1)

7. Justin Jefferson, Vikings (WR2): Kupp did nothing wrong, but Jefferson does look like the top receiver in the sport.

8. Davante Adams, Raiders (WR3): Certainly can't complain about a debut with 17 targets.

9. Ja'Marr Chase, Bengals (WR4)

10. Tom Brady, Buccaneers (QB5): Quiet opener at Dallas, but he didn't need to do much. This week he probably will.

11. Russell Wilson, Broncos (QB6): Wasn't quiet for him in Seattle, but he still threw for 340 yards. He'll be matchup-proof.

12. Joe Burrow, Bengals (QB7): Can't imagine he'll have another five-turnover game anytime soon. Count on him.

13. Aaron Rodgers, Packers (QB8): He. Will. Be. Fine. Actually, he will be excellent. Again.

14. Dalvin Cook, Vikings (RB2)

15. Christian McCaffrey, Panthers (RB3): Not one of his better games, either, but if he can stay healthy, improvement coming.

16. Deebo Samuel, 49ers (WR5)
17. Tyreek Hill, Dolphins (WR6)
18. Stefon Diggs, Bills (WR7)

19. Matthew Stafford, Rams (QB9): Three interceptions were a downer and ruined his fantasy outing, but they say he's healthy.

20. Derek Carr, Raiders (QB10): He tossed three to the other team, too, but he should have more luck against the Arizona defense.

21. Kirk Cousins, Vikings (QB11)

22. Trey Lance, 49ers (QB12): It was windy and rainy in Chicago. Let's give him another chance against Seattle.

23. Joe Mixon, Bengals (RB4)

24. Saquon Barkley, Giants (RB5): Wow. Just wow. Barkley looked healthy and amazing and it's better for all if it continues.

25. Derrick Henry, Titans (RB6)
26. James Conner, Cardinals (RB7)

27. D'Andre Swift, Lions (RB8): The Eagles were supposed to handle the run, but they couldn't handle Swift. He's getting better.

28. Leonard Fournette, Buccaneers (RB9): Great Week 1, showing that last season was hardly a fluke.

29. A.J. Brown, Eagles (WR8): Maybe he is a top-10 WR, even in Philly with Hurts. Looked like it in Detroit.

30. Terry McLaurin, Commanders (WR9)
31. Mike Evans, Buccaneers (WR10)
32. Michael Pittman Jr., Colts (WR11)

33. Carson Wentz, Commanders (QB13): Four touchdown passes, two interceptions. Lot of numbers there. Premature to really trust him.

34. Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins (QB14)

35. Marcus Mariota, Falcons (QB15): Premature to trust him, too, but at least he adds value with his legs. Been waiting years for that.

36. Daniel Jones, Giants (QB16)

37. Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars (QB17): Disappointing outing in Week 1, and if he can't emerge under Doug Pederson, that's a problem.

38. Matt Ryan, Colts (QB18)

39. Baker Mayfield, Panthers (QB19): Not as bad as people made him out to be. Not a fantasy starter, of course, either.

40. Jared Goff, Lions (QB20)
41. Ryan Tannehill, Titans (QB21)

42. Nick Chubb, Browns (RB10): Don't read into him not scoring the touchdowns. Focus on the positive. Borderline RB1.

43. Alvin Kamara, Saints (RB11): Only 12 touches for 46 yards. What are the Saints doing?

44. Javonte Williams, Broncos (RB12): Only seven rushing attempts but, oh yeah, 11 receptions! Kamara-like!

45. Najee Harris, Steelers (RB13): The Steelers claim he will play this week. In this case, believe them.

46. Antonio Gibson, Commanders (RB14)
47. DJ Moore, Panthers (WR12)

48. Tee Higgins, Bengals (WR13): He is in concussion protocol so, that obviously needs to change if he's going to play.

49. Gabe Davis, Bills (WR14): Yeah, he looks like a major difference-maker, regardless of opponent.

50. Mark Andrews, Ravens (TE1): Quiet in Week 1, but don't read into it. Jackson knows he can count on him.

51. Jameis Winston, Saints (QB22): Anything but quiet in Week 1, but do Saints want him throwing so much?

52. Mitch Trubisky, Steelers (QB23)

53. Justin Fields, Bears (QB24): He won the game against Lance, but statistically, nobody really won.

54. Jacoby Brissett, Browns (QB25)
55. Davis Mills, Texans (QB26)

56. Geno Smith, Seahawks (QB27): Emotions were high in Seattle and Smith won't be that accurate and efficient every week.

57. Mac Jones, Patriots (QB28): Dealing with back spasms, thus a lower ranking than normal.

58. Darrell Henderson Jr., Rams (RB15): Yep, it appears he is the Rams RB to rely on, at least today.

59. Aaron Jones, Packers (RB16)

60. AJ Dillon, Packers (RB17): Interesting situation brewing in Green Bay. Dillon may be the top RB option. We shall see.

61. Josh Jacobs, Raiders (RB18)

62. Miles Sanders, Eagles (RB19): He can score touchdowns! Solid game, but we knew he was good. Stay healthy!

63. Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys (RB20)
64. David Montgomery, Bears (RB21)

65. Joe Flacco, Jets (QB29): Zach Wilson is out for a few more weeks, which really is a shame. Flacco did not play well.

66. Cooper Rush, Cowboys (QB30): To be fair, Rush should play competently. He's an NFL quarterback. You don't have to add him, though.

67. Marquise Brown, Cardinals (WR15)

68. Jerry Jeudy, Broncos (WR16): Yeah, these young Denver WRs can both be 1,000-yard fellows with Wilson slinging it.

69. Courtland Sutton, Broncos (WR17)

70. James Robinson, Jaguars (RB22): From maybe playing in Week 1 to playing quite well. Robinson has always been underrated.

71. Cordarrelle Patterson, Falcons (RB23): Great first game for Patterson, who didn't rush for 120 yards in any game last season.

72. Kareem Hunt, Browns (RB24): Already has a pair of touchdowns. Scored five last season.

73. Chase Edmonds, Dolphins (RB25)

74. CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys (WR18): He needs more help, from the other WRs to the QB to the offensive line. Still a WR2 for now.

75. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions (WR19): He's a WR2. Solid 12 targets and another TD as he continues last season's surprising success.

76. Brandin Cooks, Texans (WR20)
77. Diontae Johnson, Steelers (WR21)

78. Jaylen Waddle, Dolphins (WR22): One big play and little else in Hill's Miami debut. Waddle should be fine, though.

79. DK Metcalf, Seahawks (WR23)

80. George Kittle, 49ers (TE2): Groin injury cost him Week 1, and his investors cannot be pleased or too optimistic.

81. Kyle Pitts, Falcons (TE3)
82. Darren Waller, Raiders (TE4)

83. J.K. Dobbins, Ravens (RB26): Still on the mend from ACL tear and Ravens were cautious because it was the Jets. It's not the Jets this week.

84. Travis Etienne Jr., Jaguars (RB27): Not time to give up on him. Dynamic player, touches should be there.

85. Melvin Gordon III, Broncos (RB28): Ran well on Monday and got a goal-line carry. This remains a time-share and Gordon is underrated.

86. Michael Carter, Jets (RB29): Seven catches is the surprising number. So silly for us to believe the rookie would just push him aside initially.

87. Curtis Samuel, Commanders (WR24)
88. Chase Claypool, Steelers (WR25)
89. Adam Thielen, Vikings (WR26)

90. Michael Thomas, Saints (WR27): Two touchdowns on eight targets. That works. Still premature to assume he's even a WR2.

91. Darnell Mooney, Bears (WR28): One catch for eight yards is not cool, but weather was a factor. Stick with him as a WR3.

92. Damien Harris, Patriots (RB30)
93. Rashaad Penny, Seahawks (RB31)

94. Jeff Wilson Jr., 49ers (RB32): The new starter with Elijah Mitchell out for a really long time. Add Wilson, but you don't have to activate him.

95. Devin Singletary, Bills (RB33)

96. Christian Kirk, Jaguars (WR29): Kirk can rise to borderline WR2 status even if his quarterback doesn't make major strides.

97. Hunter Renfrow, Raiders (WR30)

98. Julio Jones, Buccaneers (WR31): Well, we didn't expect to be ranking Julio, but Chris Godwin is likely out and ... here we are.

99. Rex Burkhead, Texans (RB34): Is it a time-share if the veteran gets 19 touches? Maybe it was only one week.

100. Dameon Pierce, Texans (RB35): In other words, keep Pierce around.

101. Breece Hall, Jets (RB36): Keep this rookie around, too. NFL teams over-think things all the time. Hall still has a future.

102. Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots (RB37)

103. Kenyan Drake, Ravens (RB38): Did little as the lead back in Week 1, but there was almost no sign of Mike Davis.

104. Jamaal Williams, Lions (RB39)

105. Allen Lazard, Packers (WR32): May return from ankle injury for Week 2. Rodgers may order him to play.

106. Allen Robinson II, Rams (WR33): Rams struggled against Bills, so if you invested here, give it a few more weeks.

107. DJ Chark, Lions (WR34)

108. Robbie Anderson, Panthers (WR35): The 75-yard TD turned an ordinary game into a big one. Little reason to expect more 100-yard games. There were none last season!

109. Raheem Mostert, Dolphins (RB40): Only six touches in first Miami game. Would think team wants him more involved.

110. Tony Pollard, Cowboys (RB41)

111. Cam Akers, Rams (RB42): Rams aren't giving up on Akers, and neither should you. Way too talented for so few touches.

112. Kenneth Gainwell, Eagles (RB43): Perhaps Miles Sanders plays all 17 games. Perhaps not.

113. J.D. McKissic, Commanders (RB44)
114. Nyheim Hines, Colts (RB45)

115. Khalil Herbert, Bears (RB46): He's certainly in play to take the starting job if Montgomery doesn't improve.

116. T.J. Hockenson, Lions (TE5)

117. Dawson Knox, Bills (TE6): One reception is a bummer, but team is invested here. Numbers should be there.

118. Dallas Goedert, Eagles (TE7)

119. Dalton Schultz, Cowboys (TE8): Nine targets last week and his value does not drop with reserve QB.

120. Drake London, Falcons (WR36)
121. Elijah Moore, Jets (WR37)

122. Rashod Bateman, Ravens (WR38): Other than the long TD, he caught four yards worth of passes, so yeah, we need to see more.

123. Tyler Lockett, Seahawks (WR39)

124. DeVonta Smith, Eagles (WR40): Eagles have made it clear it's not OK that he caught nary a pass versus Lions. Stay invested here.

125. Tyrion Davis-Price, 49ers (RB47): Rookie will battle Jordan Mason for backup job to Wilson, and it should matter.

126. Brandon Bolden, Raiders (RB48)

127. Kenneth Walker III, Seahawks (RB49): Penny didn't do anything spectacular in first game, and Walker is the future.

128. Amari Cooper, Browns (WR41): Few expected big numbers, but 17 receiving yards is a problem.

129. Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers (WR42)
130. Jakobi Meyers, Patriots (WR43)

131. Jahan Dotson, Commanders (WR44): Nice to see a couple early touchdowns, but we need to see more targets, too.

132. Zach Ertz, Cardinals (TE9)
133. Pat Freiermuth, Steelers (TE10)
134. DeVante Parker, Patriots (WR45)

135. Zay Jones, Jaguars (WR46): Nine targets in debut, but hard to see how he will pile on yards or scores.

136. Robert Woods, Titans (WR47): Rough debut for Titans and a rough Week 2 opponent in Buffalo.

137. KJ Hamler, Broncos (WR48)

138. Jarvis Landry, Saints (WR49): Excellent debut, but also has a tough opponent in Week 2.

139. Nico Collins, Texans (WR50)
140. Michael Gallup, Cowboys (WR51)
141. Marvin Jones Jr., Jaguars (WR52)
142. Mark Ingram II, Saints (RB50)
143. Zack Moss, Bills (RB51)
144. Chris Olave, Saints (WR53)
145. George Pickens, Steelers (WR54)
146. A.J. Green, Cardinals (WR55)
147. Greg Dortch, Cardinals (WR56)
148. Garrett Wilson, Jets (WR57)
149. Kenny Golladay, Giants (WR58)
150. Russell Gage, Buccaneers (WR59)
