Welcome to Week 16 and the latest edition of the fantasy football superflex rankings, playoff version. Congratulations if you still have lineup decisions to make. As always, please be aware of not only the latest injuries but also the myriad players entering COVID-19 protocols, potentially leading to their absence this week. Remember, in addition to a Thursday game this week, there are two games on Saturday, which is Christmas Day. Do the best you can with lineups, and trust your gut. Good luck in Week 16 and beyond!
1. Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams: For perspective on his incredible, historic season, he has been held to fewer than 20 PPR points in only three games. He deserves MVP consideration.
2. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts: Having his own amazing season, really. The last game in which he did not score a touchdown was Week 3.
3. Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers: Has been exploiting tough matchups and now he gets to face the Texans. Should be a big game pending.
4. Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs
5. Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers
6. Davante Adams, WR, Packers
7. Justin Jefferson, WR, Vikings: No. 3 WR in full season, PPR scoring has double-digit targets in five of six games.
8. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings
9. Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles: Certainly looked good enough on Tuesday night, rushing for two touchdowns and making excellent throws.
10. Matthew Stafford, QB, Rams: A trio of touchdowns in three consecutive games. He looks trustworthy again.
12. Josh Allen, QB, Bills
13. Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens: Bone bruise in ankle remains an issue, but when he gets cleared to play, go with him.
14. Kyler Murray, QB, Cardinals
15. Taysom Hill, QB, Saints: Quiet game against the Buccaneers, but closes with Miami, Carolina and Atlanta. Big difference.
16. Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers: If he plays, he should be great.
17. Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs
18. Deebo Samuel, RB, 49ers
19. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints: Did next to nothing against Tampa Bay, but again, likely aberrant.
20. Najee Harris, RB, Steelers: Decreased volume in Week 15, but it is not like other Steelers RBs are stealing touches.
21. Diontae Johnson, WR, Steelers
22. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals
23. Cordarrelle Patterson, RB, Falcons: Still a bit hard to believe that someone, in their ninth NFL season, could all of a sudden break out like this. And he is not slowing down.
24. Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings
25. Cam Newton, QB, Panthers: Has a rushing touchdown in all five games. You would play an RB doing this.
26. Joe Burrow, QB, Bengals
27. Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys: As noted earlier this week, his team is winning, but he might not be helping your team(s) enough. Feel free to sit him.
28. Carson Wentz, QB, Colts
29. Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks: Still does not look close to awesome, and Bears D does present a challenge.
30. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Cowboys
31. Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers
32. Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings: Seems like he might return from ankle injury this week.
33. James Robinson, RB, Jaguars: Well, all he needed was a different coach! Not likely, but good to have Robinson back.
34. Aaron Jones, RB, Packers
35. Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens: Ravens will go back to Jackson when he is able, but Andrews and Tyler Huntley sure worked nicely together.
36. Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs
37. George Kittle, TE, 49ers
38. Stefon Diggs, WR, Bills
39. Brandin Cooks, WR, Texans: Has 80 catches and 947 receiving yards. The next-best Texans have 29 and 311, respectively. I mean, this is ridiculous. Opposing defenses must know this and yet ...
40. Justin Fields, QB, Bears: Still so raw, as we saw versus Vikings in winnable contest. Personally, not sure I could enter a playoff matchup with any of the rookie QBs active.
41. Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins
42. Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 49ers
43. Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers: Road game in Kansas City, versus rejuvenated defense, does not seem like fun.
44. Baker Mayfield, QB, Browns
45. Ryan Tannehill, QB, Titans
46. Taylor Heinicke, QB, Washington
47. Jared Goff, QB, Lions: Could return from COVID-19 reserve list in time, and he does have three TD passes in two of past three games.
48. Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons
49. Marquise Brown, WR, Ravens
50. Ja'Marr Chase, WR, Bengals
51. Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles: The Eagles are a fine-tuned, running machine and Sanders boasts consecutive games with 100-plus rushing yards. Now get a touchdown!
52. David Montgomery, RB, Bears: Cannot really blame him for the mess of an offense. He is getting volume.
53. Josh Jacobs, RB, Raiders
54. Derek Carr, QB, Raiders
55. DJ Moore, WR, Panthers
56. Rob Gronkowski, TE, Buccaneers
57. Mike Evans, WR, Buccaneers: Seems unlikely to play through hamstring injury this week, but if he does, remains a reasonable option thanks to TD prowess.
58. Ronald Jones II, RB, Buccaneers: Timing, my friends. Leonard Fournette goes out and Jones gets to play. Never thought there was a huge gap in talent there.
59. Jaylen Waddle, WR, Dolphins
60. Mac Jones, QB, Patriots
61. Drew Lock, QB, Broncos: Teddy Bridgewater replacement just does not throw the football well downfield.
62. Davis Mills, QB, Texans
63. Zach Wilson, QB, Jets: Gets the slight edge from me in the battle of the top 2021 picks. You should not be relying on these raw QBs in your playoffs!
64. Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jaguars
65. Jake Fromm, QB, Giants
66. Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks: Missed the delayed Week 15 game, but if he returns for Week 16, might be productive again depending on what Bears have in secondary.
67. Javonte Williams, RB, Broncos
68. Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington
69. Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants
70. Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys: Pretty average for two months now, but a reasonable RB2 nevertheless. There really are not a ton of decent running backs.
71. Nick Chubb, RB, Browns
72. D'Onta Foreman, RB, Titans: More than 100 rushing yards in two of three games, and against good run defenses, too.
73. Mike Williams, WR, Chargers
74. Hunter Renfrow, WR, Raiders: The streak of 100-yard receiving games ended with a thud, and Broncos sure do defend. Not as great an option for this week as he has been.
75. Michael Pittman Jr., WR, Colts: Just looking at box scores is not enough. He scored a paltry 1.7 PPR game last week, but his ejection played a role. Should be fine this week.
76. Antonio Brown, WR, Buccaneers: Back from suspension and potentially into a productive opportunity. If he is one of your top options, utilize him.
77. DK Metcalf, WR, Seahawks
78. Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, 49ers: Downgrade and ignore if Elijah Mitchell plays. Does not look like Mitchell will play, though.
79. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Chiefs
80. James Conner, RB, Cardinals: Quiet in Week 15, but only partially because of shared touches.
81. Craig Reynolds, RB, Lions: One would think Lions keep giving him the ball with D'Andre Swift (shoulder) out, but who knows.
82. Darrell Henderson Jr., RB, Rams
83. Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Lions: Rookie has double-digit targets and excellent numbers the past three weeks.
84. Christian Kirk, WR, Cardinals
85. Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington: Well, he could use his starting QB back, for sure. Perhaps this week!
86. A.J. Brown, WR, Titans: Last played in Week 11 because of chest injury and Titans have the Thursday game this week. Otherwise, all is well!
87. Tee Higgins, WR, Bengals
88. Van Jefferson, WR, Rams
89. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Rams
90. Melvin Gordon III, RB, Broncos
91. Michael Carter, RB, Jets: Quiet in return from injury, but that is hardly predictive.
92. Rashaad Penny, RB, Seahawks
93. DeVante Parker, WR, Dolphins
94. Brandon Aiyuk, WR, 49ers
95. Darren Waller, TE, Raiders: Has missed three consecutive games because of knee injury, but Raiders say they are not shutting him down, yet.
96. Russell Gage, WR, Falcons
97. Darnell Mooney, WR, Bears
98. Tony Pollard, RB, Cowboys: Looked like the better Dallas RB in Week 15, but best he can do is split carries.
99. Jamaal Williams, RB, Lions
100. AJ Dillon, RB, Packers
101. Damien Harris, RB, Patriots: Ran for 111 yards and a score in first Bills meeting, so if he is active from hamstring injury, activate him.
102. Chuba Hubbard, RB, Panthers: Newton is not only handling the goal-line carries, but most of the other ones, too.
103. Devonta Freeman, RB, Ravens
104. Michael Gallup, WR, Cowboys
105. Amari Cooper, WR, Cowboys: Where season numbers mislead. Cooper has one decent game since Week 8 and is a WR4 since Week 2 began. Stop forcing him into lineups.
106. Jarvis Landry, WR, Browns
107. Chase Claypool, WR, Steelers
108. Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals
109. Duke Johnson, RB, Dolphins: Where in the world did that performance come from? He had never done it before. Now he plays the Saints. Um, be careful and wary.
110. Myles Gaskin, RB, Dolphins
111. Nyheim Hines, RB, Colts
112. Gabriel Davis, WR, Bills: Gets the recommendation with Cole Beasley out.
113. Devin Singletary, RB, Bills: Ran all over Carolina, but now he plays the Patriots again. Be skeptical.
114. Rex Burkhead, RB, Texans: You should not trust any Texans RB, but if you feel you must, this remains the one.
115. A.J. Green, WR, Cardinals
116. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Packers Averaging eight targets per game over his past four, and since his QB is playing great, that matters.
117. Jakobi Meyers, WR, Patriots
118. Jamison Crowder, WR, Jets
119. Chase Edmonds, RB, Cardinals: Only six touches in return from ankle injury, but he turned them into 53 yards.
120. Dawson Knox, TE, Bills
121. Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles
122. Dalton Schultz, TE, Cowboys
123. Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR, Browns He was team's top WR option in Week 15, but Landry should return this week.
124. Allen Lazard, WR, Packers
125. Josh Reynolds, WR, Lions
126. DeVonta Smith, WR, Eagles
127. Jerry Jeudy, WR, Broncos: Nothing but zeroes on four targets last week, but too talented to be that forgettable.
128. Kyle Pitts, TE, Falcons
129. Mike Gesicki, TE, Dolphins: A cool 19 targets the past two games. He matters, even against the Saints.
130. Zach Ertz, TE, Cardinals
131. Robby Anderson, WR, Panthers
132. Rondale Moore, WR, Cardinals: Cardinals just do not utilize him enough. Perhaps next season.
133. Marvin Jones Jr., WR, Jaguars
134. Laviska Shenault Jr., WR, Jaguars
135. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, WR, Titans: Not a great option, but certainly getting more looks lately.
136. Marquez Callaway, WR, Saints
137. Tre'Quan Smith, WR, Saints
138. Kenny Golladay, WR, Giants: Do we have to rank a Giants WR? Asking for a friend.
139. Kadarius Toney, WR, Giants
140. Darrel Williams, RB, Chiefs
141. Mike Davis, RB, Falcons
142. Kareem Hunt, RB, Browns: Should come off COVID-19 list for this game, but is nursing an ankle injury. Last decent game came in Week 6.
143. Jordan Howard, RB, Eagles: You might be surprised at the volume he sees. It definitely matters for deep leagues.
144. Ameer Abdullah, RB, Panthers
145. Latavius Murray, RB, Ravens
146. Dontrell Hilliard, RB, Titans
147. Sony Michel, RB, Rams
148. Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Patriots: Harris insurance, and not a receiving factor.
149. Tevin Coleman, RB, Jets
150. Ke'Shawn Vaughn, RB, Buccaneers: And we close this week with this player from Vanderbilt who has 37 rushing attempts in two NFL seasons. If only they did not sign Fournette! Vaughn might struggle to get touches this week, especially with Le'Veon Bell coming on, as well.
