Fantasy football flex and superflex rankings for Week 7

Ken Murray/Icon Sportswire

Welcome to fantasy football Week 7 and the latest edition of the superflex rankings, as we combine the best of the running backs, wide receivers and tight ends -- and the quarterbacks, too! -- into one tidy package of 150 names to aid in your decision-making. Six teams are taking this week off, so it may be tougher to find reasonable options for your fantasy teams. Sure, we have projections and myriad words to help, but just trust your gut. Good luck in Week 7 and beyond!

1. Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs: Should light up Titans defense and, notably, has a cool 92 rushing yards the past two games. Hmmm.
2. Kyler Murray, QB, Cardinals: Should light up Texans defense but, notably, has only seven rushing yards the past two games.
3. Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens: Most recent rushing score came in Week 2.
4. Matthew Stafford, QB, Rams: Revenge game versus Lions! Well, more revenge for the other fellow, really. Only one of these teams has elite defense.
5. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans: So awesome running the ball it would not matter if he caught passes. And he does that, too!
6. Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles: Still not a good passer. It is a fact. But he runs a lot. In fact, he leads the team in rushing yards.
7. Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers
8. Tom Brady, QB, Buccaneers
9. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints: Caught 81 or more passes in each of first four seasons. Now he is on pace for about 50. Not cool.
10. Aaron Jones, RB, Packers
11. Davante Adams, WR, Packers: Leads the sport in receiving yards. The next guy leads in targets. Either is worthy nod for top WR in fantasy.
12. Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams: No, he is not slowing down. This is real.

13. Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs
14. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts: Five touchdowns the past three games, but still only modest volume. C'mon, Colts!
15. Joe Burrow, QB, Bengals: Playing like a QB1, but let us see how he handles Baltimore defense.
16. Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons
17. Ryan Tannehill, QB, Titans: Six passing TDs in six games does not cut it. Faces Chiefs, but after this, you may want to move on in shallow formats.
18. Derek Carr, QB, Raiders
19. Darrell Henderson Jr., RB, Rams: Nobody said he lacked talent. So far he has been healthy enough.
20. Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs
21. Calvin Ridley, WR, Falcons: Time for this passing game to get going, for reals. Ridley needs to start delivering WR1 numbers this week. If not, reevaluate.
22. DJ Moore, WR, Panthers
23. Deebo Samuel, WR, 49ers
24. DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Cardinals: May fall short of 100 catches for first time in four seasons, but double-digit touchdowns are coming. Do not panic.
25. D'Andre Swift, RB, Lions: Love the receptions. It is time for 20-plus touches per week. He can handle.
26. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals
27. Daniel Jones, QB, Giants: He will bounce back from terrible Week 6.
28. Sam Darnold, QB, Panthers: Sorry, Panthers, but he is not the answer. His rushing prowess, if you can call it that, keeps him interesting for us.
29. Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins
30. Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Broncos
31. Carson Wentz, QB, Colts: More sprained ankles than interceptions. Could we have bet on that in the preseason?
32. Jameis Winston, QB, Saints: Still gonna be a while before Michael Thomas returns, so keep expectations in check. Saints do not want Winston losing games.
33. Taylor Heinicke, QB, Washington
34. Ja'Marr Chase, WR, Bengals
35. Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington
36. DK Metcalf, WR, Seahawks: The Seattle WR still worth starting with the backup QB in there.
37. Brandin Cooks, WR, Texans
38. Leonard Fournette, RB, Buccaneers: If you took a chance back in August, good for you. This backfield is not shared at all!
39. Josh Jacobs, RB, Raiders
40. Cordarrelle Patterson, RB, Falcons: We have to remain a bit skeptical, but he can quiet everyone if he keeps the efficiency going.
41. Mac Jones, QB, Patriots
42. Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 49ers
43. Geno Smith, QB, Seahawks: Seahawks just want him taking care of the football. It makes sense.
44. Case Keenum, QB, Browns: Nobody wants to admit it, but Baker Mayfield is not exactly a great fantasy option when healthy, so starting Keenum changes little.
45. Jared Goff, QB, Lions: Yeah, predictably this is not going so well. Matchup with his old mates makes things tougher.
46. Justin Fields, QB, Bears
47. Chuba Hubbard, RB, Panthers: Stop assuming Christian McCaffrey can stay on the field for even half the remaining games. Hubbard must be rostered -- and played -- everywhere.

48. Mike Evans, WR, Buccaneers
49. Chris Godwin, WR, Buccaneers
50. Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos
51. Robert Woods, WR, Rams: Not surprising that he is productive again, but we are way past comparing the top Rams WRs as relatively even. Kupp is king.
52. Darrel Williams, RB, Chiefs
53. A.J. Brown, WR, Titans: Strong Monday performance raised hopes he can stay on the field.
54. Antonio Brown, WR, Buccaneers: If you want to rank the three Bucs WRs consecutively, that is fine. May happen in this space really soon.
55. Marquise Brown, WR, Ravens
56. Darren Waller, TE, Raiders
57. Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens: That is the top-five TE we drafted.
58. Davis Mills, QB, Texans: He has little chance of success with the mess around him, but pulling him for veteran Tyrod Taylor makes little sense.
59. Zach Wilson, QB, Jets
60. Chase Edmonds, RB, Cardinals: Not so much fun in fantasy lately, and some risk of low volume in a one-sided matchup. Hope for early touchdown.
61. James Conner, RB, Cardinals
62. Julio Jones, WR, Titans: Wait, he is hurt again? Again?!? That never happens! Perhaps he plays this week, perhaps not. The Titans do not know!
63. Jaylen Waddle, WR, Dolphins
64. DeVonta Smith, WR, Eagles
65. Devontae Booker, RB, Giants: Enough volume for our flex purposes and, as with Hubbard, add him even if you do not need him today. Who knows how many games Saquon Barkley plays?
66. Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington: Calf injury has him questionable, but overall performance is frustrating. How is Gibson not statistically better?
67. Elijah Mitchell, RB, 49ers
68. Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles: We know how Sanders is not better. Two Lions, two Broncos, two Browns and two Ravens have more rushing attempts. C'mon, Eagles.
69. Mike Davis, RB, Falcons
70. J.D. McKissic, RB, Washington: At some point soon we may be calling him Washington's top fantasy running back.
71. Michael Carter, RB, Jets
72. Tee Higgins, WR, Bengals
73. Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks: You are well within rights to sit him until Russell Wilson returns.
74. Michael Pittman Jr., WR, Colts
75. DeVante Parker, WR, Dolphins: Sweet projection for a player that has done little this season. Some is matchup-based and some is because he is a talent.
76. Allen Robinson II, WR, Bears
77. Mecole Hardman, WR, Chiefs
78. Myles Gaskin, RB, Dolphins: You may have no choice in a week with so many top fantasy RBs on bye, but do not expect greatness.
79. Damien Harris, RB, Patriots
80. Damien Williams, RB, Bears: Still not off the COVID-19 reserve list, but team seems to think that is coming by Sunday.
81. Alex Collins, RB, Seahawks: You know, he might be just as good as Carson. Wonder if Seahawks feel this way.
82. Latavius Murray, RB, Ravens: No lock to play through ankle injury, as Ravens have other dumped RBs on the roster.
83. Darnell Mooney, WR, Bears
84. Kyle Pitts, TE, Falcons
85. Noah Fant, TE, Broncos
86. Mike Gesicki, TE, Dolphins
87. T.J. Hockenson, TE, Lions
88. Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles: Time for him to put up big numbers and solidify top-10 TE status. No excuses now.
89. Corey Davis, WR, Jets
90. Hunter Renfrow, WR, Raiders
91. Sterling Shepard, WR, Giants: Likely no Kadarius Toney this week, and someone has to catch the football.
92. Javonte Williams, RB, Broncos: Trade for him in keeper leagues because next year, when the next fellow is gone, a star lurks.
93. Melvin Gordon III, RB, Broncos
94. A.J. Green, WR, Cardinals
95. Christian Kirk, WR, Cardinals
96. Jakobi Meyers, WR, Patriots: Had his first NFL TD and then came the penalty call. It is rather risky to rely on Meyers in this offense.
97. Marquez Callaway, WR, Saints: Seems like the kind of receiver that really needs a better receiver to take the pressure and coverage off him. We find out in November.
98. T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts
99. Henry Ruggs III, WR, Raiders
100. Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals: Leads the Bengals in catches. No, really. The problem is the rookie has all the yards and scores.
101. Jamison Crowder, WR, Jets
102. D'Ernest Johnson, RB, Browns: Someone has to run the ball with Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt out. No guarantee it is Johnson, though.
103. Khalil Herbert, RB, Bears
104. Kalif Raymond, WR, Lions
105. Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Lions: Cannot believe some actually thought Tyrell Williams would be relevant. Shame on us. St. Brown could be emerging, but this week, pass.
106. Rondale Moore, WR, Cardinals
107. AJ Dillon, RB, Packers
108. Kenyan Drake, RB, Raiders: Just when you give up on him, he gets the scores. He did not get the volume, though. Be careful.
109. Jamaal Williams, RB, Lions
110. Nyheim Hines, RB, Colts
111. Jarvis Landry, WR, Browns: Knee injury has him questionable but honestly, why are you relying on any Browns WRs, regardless of who plays QB?
112. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Browns
113. Robby Anderson, WR, Panthers: It is Week 7 and he has 15 catches and 4.8 yards per target. Stop expecting last season's numbers with this QB. Not happening.
114. Tim Patrick, WR, Broncos
115. Bryan Edwards, WR, Raiders
116. Sammy Watkins, WR, Ravens
117. Darius Slayton, WR, Giants
118. Tyler Higbee, TE, Rams
119. Zach Ertz, TE, Cardinals: Lots of talent in his new offense, but there is a path to TE1 status again.
120. Rob Gronkowski, TE, Buccaneers: Could play this week. Make sure, obviously, before investing.
121. Quez Watkins, WR, Eagles
122. Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Patriots
123. Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Eagles: He cannot gain yards well without the football. Real offensive play-calling malpractice going on in Philly.
124. Elijhaa Penny, RB, Giants
125. Jeremy McNichols, RB, Titans
126. Jerick McKinnon, RB, Chiefs
127. Allen Lazard, WR, Packers
128. Brandon Aiyuk, WR, 49ers: So talented but barely involved in offense and it is a rough schedule the next month.
129. Van Jefferson, WR, Rams
130. Nelson Agholor, WR, Patriots: So mediocre in this offense. How did he catch eight TDs passes a season ago?
131. Salvon Ahmed, RB, Dolphins
132. Mark Ingram II, RB, Texans: Only eight players have more rushing attempts. All average more than twice as many PPR fantasy points. Yuck.
133. Demetric Felton, RB, Browns: Perhaps he gets his Thursday night chance. Browns really need to involve him more.
134. Jalen Reagor, WR, Eagles
135. KhaDarel Hodge, WR, Lions
136. Russell Gage, WR, Falcons
137. Rashod Bateman, WR, Ravens
138. Dante Pettis, WR, Giants
139. Kenny Stills, WR, Saints: Veteran may get a chance this week and it is a good matchup. Deep-league possibilities here.
140. Royce Freeman, RB, Panthers
141. Brandon Bolden, RB, Patriots
142. Sony Michel, RB, Rams
143. Ty Johnson, RB, Jets
144. Kyle Juszczyk, RB, 49ers: With George Kittle out, he ranks second on active offense with 14 catches.
145. Malcolm Brown, RB, Dolphins
146. Giovani Bernard, RB, Buccaneers
147. Ronald Jones II, RB, Buccaneers
148. David Johnson, RB, Texans: He had three touches last week. Why are you relying on him?
149. Devonta Freeman, RB, Ravens
150. Rashaad Penny, RB, Seahawks: And we close with this fourth-year veteran coming off a calf injury. He averaged 5.7 yards per carry in 2019. When healthy, he can matter.
