Rest-of-season fantasy football rankings: Henry and Cooper rise

AP

Welcome to Week 15 and the final edition of the end-of-season rankings for the 2018 campaign! After all, there is only so much left of this season, but we do thank you for checking out this column this season and we hope it aided in your decisions. Of course, there will be more decisions these final weeks, even if trading is no longer an option. So thanks again and good luck winning those fantasy championships!

Note: "UP" and "DOWN" indicate a move of at least five spots from the previous week's overall rankings, or at least three spots from the previous week's positional rankings.

Quarterbacks

It seems a bit late for major rankings upheaval at this position, but Andrew Luck got back on track after a rough Week 13 and moves closer to the top, while Cam Newton is playing as if he is ailing and moves down a bit. In addition, schedule means a lot for December. Newton still has to face the Saints twice! Chicago's Mitchell Trubisky looked rough on Sunday night and others passed him by, while a new Washington passer enters the rankings, but really, you do not want him, just like the fellow who started in Week 14.

Running backs

Things always change at this position, and we await more clarity on the physical status of Melvin Gordon, James Conner and others, but we all must plan for the future just in case. Jeff Wilson Jr., Kenyan Drake, Kenneth Dixon and, of course, Derrick Henry helped themselves in Week 14 but still, this is a game about matchups. Based on recent numbers, we cannot feel as confident about James White, Josh Adams, Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson.

Wide receivers

Amari Cooper is certainly enjoying life with the Dallas Cowboys, and he rises to near WR1 territory, forcing himself past Tampa Bay's Mike Evans, who has been inconsistent and whose schedule is tough. Jarvis Landry had a big game and moves up, while Kenny Golladay has faced difficult coverage lately and that should continue, so beware.

Tight ends

How about that George Kittle! He moves up in the overall rankings, along with Eric Ebron, Rob Gronkowski and Jared Cook, as fantasy has six tight ends to count on, and then it is a guess. One more point from Trey Burton on Sunday and I win my semifinal matchup, but alas, that is tight end and fantasy football at times. If you need a fill-in, Ian Thomas and Dallas Goedert played well on Sunday and became more appealing, as does Vernon Davis now that the Jordan Reed managers can officially move on.
