DreamHack Winter, Anaheim add $250k Fortnite events

Competitive Fortnite is coming to two upcoming DreamHack festivals with $250,000 up for grabs at both events.

Bot hevents will be solo matches. The first will be at DreamHack Winter 2019, which takes place Nov. 29-Dec. 1 in Sweden. It willl be the largest Fortnite tournament ever in the Nordic region.

The second will take place at DreamHack Anaheim, which runs Feb. 21-23.

Anyone with a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) ticket is guaranteed entry into the tournaments.

"We are extremely happy to be able to bring this huge tournament to our festivals," DreamHack Co-CEO Marcus Lindmark said. "It really gives the core of the DreamHack festivals -- the visitors -- a chance to play for the big money."

Tickets for both events are already on sale.
