Schalke 04 Esports are in the process of finalizing deals with Kiss "Vizicsacsi" Tamás and Erlend "Nukeduck" Våtevik Holm to fill its top and mid lanes for the 2018 season, sources close to the players and the team told ESPN.
Nukeduck and Vizicsaci will join the team as they rebuild around AD carry Elias "Upset" Lipp, who is the only remaining part of the roster that qualified back into the European League of Legends Championship Series.
The team released all of its players except Upset into free agency several weeks ago. It is currently evaluating jungle and support options.
Schalke 04 Esports did not respond to request for comment.
Vizicsacsi will leave longtime team Unicorns of Love after his contract expired on Monday. He, alongside support Zdravets "Hylissang" Iliev Galabov, who is expected to join Fnatic, were the last members of that team's original lineup.
Nukeduck departed Team Vitality, where he has competed for the last two years, on Tuesday.
Schalke 04 first bought into the European League Championship Series in May 2016 with the acquisition of the slot and team previously owned by Elements. It was relegated from that league in Aug. 2016, competing in the Challenger Series for all of 2017 before promoting back up in August.
