3.42pm Great bowling performance from West Indies with Seales and Shamar Joseph simply outstanding. But that score might not be as bad as it looks on paper. The surface is very tricky. Head and Khawaja's partnership was pivotal as were Cummins' lower order runs. We'll find out soon how good a score that is. There's a potential West Indies may rue not taking some earlier chances that could have cleaned up Australia for less than 150. But Australia will still be disappointed with some of the batting.
Sampath Bandarupalli: Since 2011, only twice Australia have been bowled out for a total lower than 180 after electing to bat first - 136 at Birmingham in 2015 and 177 at Nagpur in 2023. 180 is also the lowest Australia have ever made in the West Indies after electing to bat first.
Rod: "Do we have a stat equivalent to a "chances created" in cricket. Shamar deserves more credit than what he has in that wickets column"
Tom: "Looks a pretty good first innings score"
Jay: "Seales needs to cut that ball in half and share it with Shamar "
