8:09pm An innings that started strongly and promised so much, only to fizzle out completely towards the end. Mayers did a lot of the heavy lifting early, ensuring that the Knight Riders rattled along at a healthy rate. The rest of the middle order could not continue in that vein post Mayers' dismissal. Chase was the only other batter to bat with any rhythm and at this stage, it seems like ADKR have left a few runs out there.

Zampa was Sharjah's standout bowler, despite going for two sixes in his second over. Milne also bagged three, although he was much more expensive, especially during the powerplay. Agar, alongside Agar, did his bit, as did the other bowlers and the Warriorz will be hopeful of making it two wins in two. Join us in a bit for the chase!

Kyle Mayers: It felt good. Been getting a lot of starts, wanted to push on. Happy with the knock this evening. (On the pitch) Pace-on, it was relatively easy. When the spinners came on, it was a challenge but a good wicket. (On the score) Feel we are at least 20 runs short but runs on the board are runs on the board. (On bowling plans) Our spinners need to take a page out of their books and win this game (for us).

Madushanka to Willey, no run, very full just outside off. Willer, rather ambitiously, looks for the reverse-lap and misses the ball completely. The batters decide against taking the bye, and ADKR end up on 161!

Madushanka to Holder, OUT, Sharjah appeal and Holder walks! Length ball just outside leg, designed to tuck Holder up. He swings at it anyway but the lack of room means he can only feather it off the inside edge through to Seifert. Sharp catch behind the stumps too. The umpire did not give it out instantly, but Holder was not hanging about. He knew he had nicked it and was happy to walk off!

Southee to Holder, SIX, six more! This is very ordinary bowling by an experienced campaigner. Right in the slot outside off and Holder winds up to smack it a mile over the bowler's head!

Southee to Holder, SIX, goes a mile up, and lands on the road! Slower ball on a length on leg stump. Holder picks the length and the variation early, clears his front leg and smears it over cow corner. A 111m six!
