Midseason predictions for uncommitted five-stars

At the midway point of the 2015 college football season, there are eight five-star recruits who remain uncommitted. This week's Hot Board predicts where they'll land.

2015 Hot Board Archive:

Week 7 Hot Board: Isaac Nauta, Shavar Manuel, Mique Juarez, Daelin Hayes

Week 6 Hot Board: Trayvon Mullen, Caleb Kelly, Derrick Brown, Quayshon Alexander

Week 5 Hot Board: Rahshaun Smith, Demetris Robertson, Jacob Mathis

Week 4 Hot Board: Devin Asiasi, Devin Duvernay, Tyrie Cleveland

Week 3 Hot Board: Mack Wilson, Ben Davis, Terrell Hall, Rashard Lawrence, Stephen Sullivan

Week 2 Hot Board: Antwuan Jackson Jr., Mecole Hardman, Jordan Elliott

Rashan Gary, DT, 6-4, 287, Paramus Catholic/Paramus, New Jersey, ESPN 300 No. 1

Prediction: Michigan

Gary has only taken an official visit to Michigan so far and that went about as well as it could for the Wolverines and Gary. He has a visit scheduled at Auburn on Nov. 28 and has said he will figure out the rest of his visits after that. His mother would be content if he didn't take any other visits, but will support him if he does. If Gary doesn't schedule any more visits, then Michigan or Auburn's chances are very good and Michigan likely would be the choice. He plans to wait until January or February to make his final decision, though, so anything can happen between now and then. -- Tom VanHaaren

Greg Little, OT, 6-5, 318, Allen/Allen, Texas, ESPN 300 No. 2

Prediction: Alabama

Little is taking official visits during the season with visits to Auburn, Georgia and LSU already in the books, and he's deciding among Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas A&M for his final two visits. Alabama entered the visit process in a good spot, and the Crimson Tide are still a good bet when Little announces on Nov. 4, but keep a close eye on his reaction after the final two trips. -- Jeremy Crabtree

Willie Allen, OT, 6-7, 300, New Orleans/John Curtis Christian, ESPN 300 No. 4

Prediction: LSU

Allen plans to focus more on recruiting following his senior season, so it's tough to get a complete read on what he is thinking even in October. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Ole Miss have been in his top group for a while, but this is the type of in-state battle LSU usually wins. -- Jeremy Crabtree

Rashard Lawrence, DT, 6-3, 309, Neville/Monroe, Louisiana, ESPN 300 No. 7

Prediction: LSU

Lawrence has made official visits to UCLA and Ohio State, and still has trips remaining to Alabama, LSU and Washington. At the end of the day, LSU and Alabama will most likely duke it out. LSU having a very good season, Ed Orgeron being a difference-maker in recruiting as the defensive line coach and closeness to home will win out in the end. -- Gerry Hamilton

Dexter Lawrence, DT, 6-5, 335, Wake Forest High/Wake Forest, North Carolina, ESPN 300 No. 8

Prediction: Florida

While Lawrence has been on unofficial visits to NC State and North Carolina this season, it was a late September official visit to Florida that received the most chatter. Ohio State, Alabama and Florida State are also in the mix, but this recruitment will come down to the Gators and the North Carolina schools. A strong affinity for Wolfpack defensive line coach Ryan Nielsen likely will not be enough to overcome the Florida appeal. -- Gerry Hamilton

Isaac Nauta, TE, 6-4, 237, IMG Academy/Bradenton, Florida, ESPN 300 No. 10

Prediction: Georgia

The top tight end in the country just visited Michigan and came away impressed with what he saw from the Wolverines. Nauta has already visited Georgia and still has visits set up to TCU and Alabama. Nauta's family lives in Georgia and the Bulldogs have the advantage at this point. -- Derek Tyson

Shavar Manuel, DE, 6-4, 280, IMG Academy/Bradenton, Florida, ESPN 300 No. 12

Prediction: LSU

The five-star defensive end has a top four of Auburn, Florida, Florida State and LSU. Manuel has already visited Florida and LSU and those appear to be his top schools. It's very close at this point, but Manuel's relationship with LSU defensive line coach Ed Orgeron gives Tigers the slight advantage at this point. -- Derek Tyson

Lyndell "Mack" Wilson, OLB, 6-2, 236, Carver/Montgomery, Alabama, ESPN 300 No. 14

Prediction: Alabama

Wilson raved about a visit to Florida earlier this season, and even talked at one point about favoring the Gators. That is no longer the case. Alabama is the favorite now, but there will be official visits to Florida, LSU, Ohio State with Oregon and USC possible. Right now, Wilson is not sure if Alabama receives an official visit, but that is expected to change. Alabama was his favorite team growing up, and is likely to receive the letter of intent come February. -- Gerry Hamilton
