Herm proud of ASU's resilience in win vs. Oregon (1:09)

Herm Edwards gives high praise to his players for coming in ready to win vs. No. 6 Oregon. (1:09)

No. 6 Oregon had a brief stay in our football writers' weekly votes for the teams that should be in the College Football Playoff right now.

The Ducks were upset by Arizona State on Saturday, 31-28, coming up short in a wild second-half comeback.

They had received votes from four of our writers last week.

The nation's top four teams escaped any Week 13 surprises.

No. 1 LSU overcame a slow start -- the Tigers led only 7-3 after one quarter -- to roll over Arkansas 56-20. Joe Burrow threw for 327 yards and three TDs.

No. 2 Ohio State held off No. 8 Penn State 28-17, with the Nittany Lions scoring all their points in the third quarter.

J.K. Dobbins rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns, and Justin Fields threw for 188 yards and two scores for the Buckeyes.

No. 4 Georgia had just enough offense to beat Texas A&M 19-13. Rodrigo Blankenship had four field goals for the Bulldogs.

No. 3 Clemson was off on Saturday.
