Matchup: Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots

Spread: Opened New England -5; now New England -6.5
Total: Opened 41.5; now 42
PickCenter public consensus pick: 58 percent New England

Public perception: After abandoning the Patriots last week (and getting burned), the public is back on them this week. Even though the Dolphins played tough in Seattle, the public doesn't trust them to repeat that feat in New England.

Wiseguys' view: This line opened lower, but that was on Sunday afternoon before the Patriots (with Jimmy Garoppolo) beat the Cardinals. If this line were more than a touchdown it might be a different story, but at -6.5 the sharps are still more likely to back the favorite and it looks like they'll help push this line to 7.

Dave Tuley's take: I was proud to be on the Dolphins +10.5 last week at Seattle (and the Patriots against the Cardinals), but this isn't enough points for me to take them again as an underdog. They just don't have enough firepower (though I might be singing a different tune if Kenny Stills hadn't dropped an easy TD against Seattle and the Dolphins had put up more than 10 points) to keep up with the Patriots' offense.

The pick: Patriots -6.5
