In the midst of Texas' worst start in 59 years, the Longhorns came to the Cotton Bowl to face No. 10 Oklahoma as a 17 1/2-point underdog.
After the Longhorns stunned the Sooners 24-17 for Texas' first win against a top-10 team since 2010, it was understandable coach Charlie Strong would be a little excited.
Indeed, the postgame show of enthusiasm by the Longhorns and their coach was quite a sight to behold.
1. There was the requisite Gatorade bath
2. Strong was hoisted by players, crowd-surfs
3. A victorious Strong is circled
Interim athletic director Mike Perrin, right, who went 2-1 against Oklahoma as a linebacker from 1966-68 for the Longhorns, celebrates with his coach.
4. A Golden moment
One of the things that takes Texas-OU to another level is that the winner gets a wearable trophy! Strong proudly dons the golden replica of a 10-gallon cowboy hat, which amazingly enough is named the Golden Hat.
