After a tough few months, Liverpool will hope for a reset starting with their home Premier League game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Arne Slot's side lost five of their last six Premier League games and are currently down in the eighth spot with 18 points from 11 matches. Before the international break, Liverpool suffered a damaging 3-0 loss against arch-rivals Manchester City away from home. The loss was a big blow to the title ambitions of the defending champions as both Man City (second place with 22 points) and Arsenal (first place with 26 points) opened up a big gap at the top of the table.

For Liverpool, their no.1 goalkeeper Alisson Becker might make his comeback to the starting XI after recovering from an hamstring injury while despite being fit, Alexander Isak will likely be on the bench considering his limited game time in the international matches,

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest didn't have a good start to their new season and are languishing second from the bottom of the table with just nine points from 11 matches. However, since Sean Dyche took charge of the team, they have lost only once in five games and picked up two wins. His team impressed in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United and a 3-1 win over Leeds United just before the international break.
