India at Tokyo 2020 Olympics: Sumit Nagal, Sharath Kamal, Bhavani Devi, Manika Batra in action on Monday, July 26

Heena Sidhu on the importance of mental health for athletes (3:21)

'Important to have work-life balance', says the former World No. 1 shooter (3:21)

Mirabai Chanu's silver gave plenty of reason for cheer for the Indian sports fan on Saturday, but Sunday was a different story. Although there were a couple of good results, the day started with disappointment in the shooting (10m air pistol women and 10m air rifle men) and ended with a mauling (Australia 7 - 1 India, in hockey).

Day 3 of the Games, Monday July 26, could do a bit to brighten things up. We've highlighted here every Indian athlete in action on what is a lighter day than the weekend that just went by.

To simplify things further, we've divided them into 'medal events' (those that have a final, i.e. a medal-winning opportunity, on the day) and 'others' (only qualifying rounds on the day).

MEDAL EVENTS

FENCING

Sabre individual, round of 64: 5:30 AM -- Bhavani Devi vs Nadia ben Azizi (Tunisia)

Bhavani Devi is a pioneer. The first Indian fencer to ever qualify for the Olympics will get her debut and a historic first for India underway early on Monday morning.

ARCHERY

Men's Team round of 16: 6 AM

India's Atanu Das, Pravin Jadhav, and Tarundeep Rai take on Kazhakstan's Ilfat Abdullin, Denis Gankin, and Sanzhar Mussayev. The Indians finished 9th in the ranking rounds, and will look to make some early progress.

SHOOTING

Skeet -- Qualification: 6:30 AM; Final: 12:20 PM

Angad Vir Singh Bajwa is in 11th place with 73/75 and is well within a shout of making the top 6 -- who will move on to the final. The experienced Mairaj Ahmad Khan, though, is in 26th with 71/75 and has quite a big gap to make up if he hopes to make the final.
