The early afternoon slate featured a variety of big plays and upsets, including Jaxson Dart leading the New York Giants past the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite two long TD passes from Baker Mayfield, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell to the Philadelphia Eagles, and Michael Penix Jr. led the Atlanta Falcons to a win against the Washington Commanders. No. 1 draft pick Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans fell to 0-4 as the Houston Texans picked up their first win.
And in the late afternoon slate, the Los Angeles Rams handed the Indianapolis Colts their first loss, winning 27-20; the Jacksonville Jaguars spoiled Brock Purdy's return, beating the San Francisco 49ers 26-21; and Patrick Mahomes became the youngest quarterback to throw his 250th career TD pass as the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens 37-20.
