          The "ManningCast" returned for the 2024 NFL season with a star-studded "Monday Night Football" matchup between the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers.

          Despite missing running back Christian McCaffrey, the 49ers still comfortably defeated the Jets 32-19 behind 147 yards rushing and one touchdown from Jordan Mason. Aaron Rodgers, playing his first game since tearing his Achilles last September, threw for 167 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception.

          This marked the second year in a row that the Jets appeared on the alternate telecast for the first Monday night game of the season. Aaron Rodgers' short-lived debut with New York headlined the opener last year. The 49ers made their fourth appearance on the "ManningCast," while the Jets made their second.

          Peyton and Eli Manning were joined by six-time Super Bowl champion head coach Bill Belichick, comedian Adam Sandler -- who celebrated a birthday -- and Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones.
