Running backs Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison are among the inactives for the Minnesota Vikings for their showdown with the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football (8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN).
Cook, the Vikings' leading rusher with 1,135 yards, has a shoulder injury and might also be held out of their Week 17 game to get him ready for the playoffs, sources told ESPN's Courtney Cronin last week. Joining Cook and Mattison (high ankle sprain) on the inactives list for Minnesota are offensive linemen Oli Udoh, Aviante Collins and Dru Samia, along with defensive tackles Jalyn Holmes and Hercules Mata'afa.
The Vikings' backfield is down to Ameer Abdullah, Mike Boone and fullback C.J. Ham.
The Packers' inactives, all healthy scratches, are wide receiver Ryan Grant, running back Dexter Williams, cornerbacks Tony Brown and Ka'dar Hollman, offensive lineman Alex Light , offensive tackle John Leglue and tight end Jace Sternberger.
Minnesota (10-4) trails Green Bay (11-3) by a game in the NFC North, but the Packers hold the tiebreaker.
