NFL's 2019 salary cap to be between $187M and $191.1M

The NFL salary cap will jump at least $10 million for the sixth consecutive year in 2019, according to projections the league delivered Thursday to its clubs during a quarterly meeting in Dallas.

The final number, likely to be set in March, will fall in a range between $187 million and $191.1 million. It was $167 million in 2017 and is $177.2 million this year.

The NFL cap figure provides a structure, including minimums and maximums, for annual player spending. It is determined using a collectively bargained split of revenues. In 2019, the league told its clubs, player costs will exceed $7.3 billion.
