News: 2 days agoWhile Judkins won't face any charges stemming from a July 12 incident in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., he and the Browns have been unable to reach a deal and may not do so until the end of any NFL investigation, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Spin: Per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com in a statement last Thursday, an NFL spokesperson noted that the league has been "following developments in the matter which remains under review." With the 2025 second-rounder's signing currently on hold, the Browns' top available backfield options ahead of the team's preseason finale are Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Judkins was selected by Cleveland in the second round of April's draft. He is a big, tough runner who showed well at the combine, including an RB-best 132-inch broad jump and a 4.48 40 at 221 pounds. He figures to be busy near the goal line in the pros, as he was in college (16-plus TDs in all three seasons). He can catch the ball a bit, but wasn't overly impressive in that area at Ole Miss and Ohio State. Judkins figures to eventually step in as Cleveland's lead back, though he may defer some work to Jerome Ford and fellow rookie Dylan Sampson, especially as he deals with the ramifications of a July arrest. Once fully integrated into the offense, Judkins will be a solid bet for weekly RB2 fantasy production, but the off-field trouble could lead to a slow start.
